Tell the boys I say hi.....

And your never gonna retire.  When are you gonna get back up there an re-open semesters?  You can make it a "sport coat" only place.

mprel

When do I get to retire?

When I pay you a dime for every time I mention the legendary Coach Alex Yunevich or how many miles on the AU Pep Bandwagon....  ;)

JU: Nice photo. Pep admits the view from the IC stands is gorges....high above Cayuga's waters and all. Pep wonders whether IC hosts track meets at Butterfield.

Merrill Field has no track. Since Alfred State installed its all-weather track in the early 1970s, AU has used that as needed, after once attempting to build a track facility on the 2350 ft. elevation Jericho Hill that once played host to AU soccer teams; it's now just used for rugby (when they mow the grass for them), but way in back is a practice football field where Pep once played summer soccer. The Saxons use it during pre-season camp.

Jericho Hill = Hell on earth...two a days in full pads in Jericho almost drove the sanest of men and most dedicated of football players to sheer insanity and quitting from the team.  Every preseason, there was bound to be a fight on Jericho Hill...the best was my sophomore year...Reger vs. Gatto, fairly even matched...stirred up things between the O and the D, but it was needed because practice was a bit lax up until that point.  Back to the point though...Jericho was very similar to the surroundings that the "Junction Boys" practiced in.

Gosh, had the (now defunct) Alfred Wrestling Entertainment (AWE), for which Pep served as advisor in 2007-08, featured a Saterday night  fight between Rockin' Chris Reger and Notorious Nick Gatto, the student body may have gotten exited and filled Davis Gym for the AWE event! But Pep doesn't think Coach Murray would go for something like that.  :'(

For the SJF guys wondering who is going to fill the holes, the Mount preview has been posted:

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

the frenchies faces after that race were priceless....just walking around the pool deck in complete shock and stunned they lost the race....never entered their minds that they could possibly lose. would be the perfect visa commercial of "the frenchies expressions after declaring they would smash the americans" .....priceless
