I propose the first annual E8 keg stand championship to take place during the pregame festivities of the E8 championship game on September 27th at SJF.

Three representatives from each school will take turns...

Combined time will determine the championship...

Individual best will be named E8 Drinker of the Year...

Who's in?

Count me and Caston in for AU...we just need another player....  We were the Case Race champs last spring...drank 12 beers in 46 minutes for the victory...

I will make it more clear.. 12 beers each in 46 mins.

That's almost up there with Troy State's fraternity challenge of drinking a case in an hour back in the day.  If I remember correctly, Theta Chi, the host, was undefeated.  Unlimited puking (cleaned up by pledges) was allowed.

The case race competition was an Alfred "Swim Team" tradition for years...we were told... A few football players were invited to participate and the swimmers ran their mouths about how they would put us to shame.. Needless to say 1st, 2nd and 3rd place went to teams comprised of football players.

Lot's of football players gravitated to Theta Chi, but it was mostly a baseball/slacker frat.  Most football guys were DKE (or TKE, not sure), but Theta Chi was the only frat that actively encouraged African-American's to come party, so the team was well represented.  I know it's cliche to call your frat the "Animal House" of your campus, but I will say that the last time I went back, the house (the former Pike County hospital) was razed and the fraternity was no longer listed as having a chapter at TSU.

Hmm.
Well i dont think Dr Stepnick nor Dr. Kramer should since they would pace the sidelines in any weather--- how about Dr. Kania---that would work!!

Iceman is passing the hat down....

Wo.... Big changes coming in the FDC this year.... Big.

Who is worthy?  Have we had a meeting about this and Dubbz was not aware?  I remember when "MIOH the 1st" passed it down it took 2 PBR's and a Beast Light to decide that "MIOH the 2nd" was worthy enough.

Who does Iceman have in mind?

WHERE THE H-E--  is ROWDY?!

There will be some changes with AU Pep Band as well...

Is there a worthy replacement for a four-year veteran sousaphone?

Will this year's band master Hawaii Five-0 or will the band forever face the humiliation of being accused of playing Hawaii Three-0?

Will the recruited prospects show for Band Camp?

"Stay tuned" as it all unfolds ...

I wouldnt say AU was so bad..come on now, they just get the most out of their players...wasn't the 2002 season SJ's first winning season anyways?

They need to get the most out of their players because they can never field a full 11 man squad on either side of the ball...

I dont know if that was Fishers first winning season or not, all i know is that I showed up and we started winning!   ;)

Pep is perplexed as to why AU's creative utilization of player personnel is such a pet peeve of particular pesty Phisher posters.

I liked it better when the AU game was the opener for SJF under the lights.  It brought out the best in both teams.  Raynor had that big game in 02 but a 97yd punt return by Dias proved to be the difference and then Meyers had a big game in 03 but needed a goal line stand to hold off AU!

I think the 02 AU vs SJF under the lights was where Raynor made ESPN's hidden video because he did everything in that game....

"Tailback Jesse Raynor, from Alfred University, ran for 115 yards and three touchdowns in a 34-26 loss to St. John Fisher. Raynor also caught 11 passes for 86 yards, returned four kickoffs for 165 yards (including one for 85 yards), kicked two field goals and blocked a punt. "

Yes I know, I was there playing...

AU was so bad that they needed him to play in every facet imaginable...

First winning season was in 1993.  Followed by 1994.  Then 1995, but all of the wins in 1995 with the exception of one were forfeited due to some ineligible players and so officially it counts as a 1-9 season instead of the 6-4 or 7-3 season it previously was.

My apologies then.. I just dont understand why Upstate hates on AU using players on both sides...possibly because Donnie Miller scored many TD's as a lineman  ;)    ....If you played at AU, you may have been able to touch the ball!!
