Wow- looks like a nice group of guys for Fisher!

Yeah the last two, the lineman from lockport and the LBer from orchard park were first team ALL-WNY this past season and I think the LBer was a 2 time first team ALL-WNY.

The QB threw the game winning td in the North-South all star game as well...

Iceman is passing the hat down....

Wo.... Big changes coming in the FDC this year.... Big.

Who is worthy?  Have we had a meeting about this and Dubbz was not aware?  I remember when "MIOH the 1st" passed it down it took 2 PBR's and a Beast Light to decide that "MIOH the 2nd" was worthy enough.

Who does Iceman have in mind?

WHERE THE H-E--  is ROWDY?!

He goes by the name Danny Clemens....gives Bomber tours all the time and was at every home game and more importantly every tailgate.  Big Steelers fan...I think he goes by DannyJZucko on the boards...or something like that.

And there was no meeting but much deliberating and debating between me, myself and I as to who I would pass the hat on too.

If Dubbz would like, a caucus can occur the night before the Bombers first home game 9/5???  PBRs mandatory of course.
All hail the Booga

i trust your judgment.   A lot of power this kid gets.

:)

tell him to go scout the team and give us a report.

I liked it better when the AU game was the opener for SJF under the lights.  It brought out the best in both teams.  Raynor had that big game in 02 but a 97yd punt return by Dias proved to be the difference and then Meyers had a big game in 03 but needed a goal line stand to hold off AU!

I think the 02 AU vs SJF under the lights was where Raynor made ESPN's hidden video because he did everything in that game....

"Tailback Jesse Raynor, from Alfred University, ran for 115 yards and three touchdowns in a 34-26 loss to St. John Fisher. Raynor also caught 11 passes for 86 yards, returned four kickoffs for 165 yards (including one for 85 yards), kicked two field goals and blocked a punt. "

Yes I know, I was there playing...

AU was so bad that they needed him to play in every facet imaginable...

I wouldnt say AU was so bad..come on now, they just get the most out of their players...wasn't the 2002 season SJ's first winning season anyways?

First winning season was in 1993.  Followed by 1994.  Then 1995, but all of the wins in 1995 with the exception of one were forfeited due to some ineligible players and so officially it counts as a 1-9 season instead of the 6-4 or 7-3 season it previously was.
Thanks...so I didnt have to...as I was on those teams, it is especially bothersome when others assume that SJF arose from the dead in 2002-2003.  Just to clarify, it was a 7-3 season (started 6-0 before losing on kick-off return with under 2 to go to B-port) wiped out by 1 ineligible lineman who had transferred from Hudson Valley but apparently was not so truthful about how many years he had played there.  The coach from Hartwick at the time blew us in (he had recruited the player as well) after we beat them on a 'walk-off' field goal early in the season.

Gosh, that was the year Fisher blasted Pep's Saxons 53-35 or something like that at Fisher's poor excuse for a football stadium (visitors were invited to graze in the grass while Fisher faithful had a est. 300-seat bleacher section)...with AU's Pre-Season All-American DB Krumie Mabry and returning starting QB Scooter Hendrick suited up for the Cardinals.

'Tis a shame Fisher suited up an ineligible player and had to forfeit that nice win.

Last I heard, Tom Hammel and transfer from Cornell are fighting for the starting QB nod.  Its Hammels job to lose.   Platoon system with the running backs.

Is Hammel the back-up that went in for a play at Hartwick?

With classes starting tomorrow in Mayberry, there appears to be a three-way fight for the starting QB job among senior Matt Eisenhauer (if he gets the nod, shall we call him "The General"?), frosh T.J. Kilcarr from Clarkstown South (downstate) and frosh Tom Secky from Maple Grove (Gatto's high school). Secky's older brother Randall was a starting QB at UB a few years back. Secky, at 6-4 and more of a drop-back passer, has good view of the field and appears to have a strong arm. Eisenhauer, a senior, knows the system but nevertheless has not taken a varsity snap. Kilcarr appears to have better feet than Secky and would be a good option QB, in Pep's estimation.

AU will certainly be tested in its scrimmage at Binghamton High School Saturday, August 30 when they face nationally ranked #8 Muhlenberg (11-1 in '07 with a 37-21 playoff loss to Wesley). Pep is hoping the Saxons can stick with the Mules.

Not a lot of info coming out of the Fisher camp.
Just hope all is in working order for the Alliance trip!
In any event---looks like the question marks will remain until they lace them up.
Looking forward to the IC and UC games this year Doctors!!

Pep- Yes, that's the kid who came in vs. Hartwick on the call that will live in infamy...

I'm going to the Fisher scrimmage tonight - hearing Hammel is getting the starting nod, and the defense is really solid.

EDIT:

Scrimmage is on Friday
