Fisher had 24 first downs, 400 plus yards. What game did you watch on the web?

The one where they looked horrible in the 1st half, where they scored a whopping 3 pts in the first half.

Im glad you can look at the final stats and make a clear conclusion about the game, but what I saw was an offense that was out of synch and a Defense that was committing stupid penalty after stupid penalty.

Great that they won and all but with the much anticipated Courage Bowl (where UR gives them fits no matter how bad they stink) and then IC and HC in the following weeks, they'll need to get it in gear and in a hurry.

BTW im glad CBS/ESPN force fed this crap NE and NYJ team upon us, these teams will be lucky to win 8 games each.  Its just horrible football.

Agreed...this game is crap...

Your first 5 games this year are pretty brutal...3 teams that made the NCAA's last year and your cross town rival.  When is Salisbury coming in?

Well see about those 8 wins.  The Pats still have the easiest schedule in the league, including 2 games each against the dolphins and bills and one more against the jets.

And Lamont Jordan is a stud today for the Pats.

Any team with a halfway decent offense is going to run those old and tired pats defenders off the field, they look slow out there.  Congrats you held the Chiefs (who got rolled today by the raiders and their 300yds rushing) and Jets (who needed a hail mary type pass to beat a 1-15 phins team) to 10 pts each.

Bills and Pats pretty much have the same schedule so I wouldnt get too far ahead of yourself.

Im trying not to get to far ahead, and Im not saying the Pats are going to win the superbowl or anything like that, but their defense is only old in certain spots, and they have been older in those same spots when they actually won super bowls.

Cassell in his first start ever was better than I thought now that the game was over.  He didnt take any chances in the redzone where he could have made this a 34-10 win pretty easily.

If the bills have the same coaching staff as last year, and Cassell gains a little bit of condifence, I see an easy 66-0 Pats win this year.

Joking aside, Jets fans must be sick to their stomachs knowing that they got beaten by a better team today.  Farve was pretty horrible, but the Pats d-line was fantastic.  And it was tough to tell if Farve was that bad, or the pats d-backs did well.

Well thankfully Buffalo doesnt have the same mind boggling offensive cordinator so teams are not going to be able to roll their coverages towards Lee Evans anymore.  He's all over the field and in motion alot so its going to be hard for teams to lock onto him.  The play calling the past two weeks has been amazing compared to the past two seasons.  The Defense has been extremely aggressive this year, no more playing in a 2 deep shell all the time.  Plus we've got some 6'6" 320lb pro-bowler clogging the middle on defense and rushing the passer to help out on D.  You also might remember Mr. Mitchell, he introduced himself plenty of times to Brady during the superbowl.

Its not going to be the same old bills this year, thankfully...

October 11th.  That's a game which is not only big for Fisher, but potentially has huge playoff implications for Eastern Region as a whole.  Whether Eastern Region gets a Mount Union imported into its pool again this season may come down to a few huge out of region games like this one.

Hey BOMBERS!  Just thought I would turn the discussion back to a team worth talking about!  This is a Bomber in London, so I haven't seen any games.  2-0, on our way to 10-0...  Fisher better start getting scared!  Anyone who was at a game, how are we looking?

fishfan

In 06  the Fisher tight ends/ fullbacks caught over forty balls for 10 plus touchdowns. 07 the numbers were cut in half . You win football games on gameday on the field, not in the weight room or against the scout teams. Opposing coaches look at film and stats to delevope game plans. When you don't utilize all options it just makes it easier for the defense. In an option offense you expand your options not limit them.

fisheralum91

what are you trying to say fishfan?

this is the kind of insightful analysis that gets you a gig on the networks.

Fishfan, in your expert opinion, how often would you say the team that scores the most points in a game wins?

Jonny Utah

Fishfan is right.  If you dont throw the ball in the endzone, you arent going to catch any touchdown passes, and if you dont run the ball, your running game is going to suffer.

Hey DC, good to see you on the boards!

Check out CazBombers posts a few pages back, or in the E8 update page.

We haven't looked like the powerhouse many built us up to be in the pre-season.  We're winning games, although they're not very good looking wins (ie: week 1 v. Lyco).  Iceman isn't worried though. Road to 10-0 continues against 'Wick at homecoming....FDC is looking forward to this one, especially with a whole new box of shirts for recruiting!
All hail the Booga

Any one catch the end of the Denver/San Diego game! Holy 2 point conversion Batman! This misplaced Bronco fan was pretty excited yesterday.
