Those who have seen Fisher play this year I am wondering: Do they look like the type of team that has the potential to return past the first and second round of the NCAA? It seems to me that I am hearing many refer to an offense that is struggling or has not yet found its identity. Does Fisher have what it takes to be the dominate team from the east? I haven't yet seen them play so I am very curious about their potential not only in comparison to the rest of the east but nationally.

All depends on the offense, if it starts to finish drives and take some pressure off the D they certainly can.  But untill that offense gets it going its probably not going to happen this year.

They need to get back to the basics in running the ball and using the play action, enough of this stupid florida type offense (btw the spread is killing college football) and run the ball down peoples throats.

I haven't been able to check the forum for a few days, and I am not trying to throw fuel on the fire...but man...82...

I have been laughing for about 5 minutes straight...it was kind of like watching a fat kid wrestle with a twinkie...I couldn't look away.

Also, not sure why people are all wrapped up into polls just yet.  There are some big E8 games over the next few weeks that could shake it up.  Polls are meaningless...if you talk to the IC faithful right now, I bet you they don't think they have played like are the number one team in the region.  Not saying they aren't...but I know there is a nervousness that I haven't seen in a while.

That being said, I hope tomorrow is a great game.  If it is low scoring, my guess is IC wins...shootout, look for Boltus to throw for about 400 yards in a close 'Wick win.  How many IC folks are going to the game tomorrow?

x's and o's aside, they are missing their edge as I see it so far.  My guess is that they will come under fire early and often against UR in first half, and if they dig down deep they will find themselves and regain some momentum for the season.  I thought before the season started that this game would define ttheir season, not because it is UR, but because they would be 1-1 at the time (obvious loss to MUC) and going 1-2 would be the end, whereas being 2-1 would leave the MUC loss behind for good (or at least until the play-offs).

UR does have a solid young RB.  It will be close as usual....

No they don't look like a team that can make it deep into the playoffs, the end stats may look good for the offense in terms of total yards they put up but my God it is borderline aweful to watch that offense in action so far....But seriously we have some nasty wide receivers this year, Marion and Smith are gooood.  In terms of potential though, if the quarterback actually starts throwing down field with some success Fisher will be so much more dangerous.

Side Note #1

PrideFan is the first Springfield poster (not that there have been many) that I actually enjoy.  So + k for you sir.

SJFF82 you have a PM.

Booby, 82...

Who was the lineman from SJFC that quit during the week?  Was that a rumor, and if so, was the kid good?  You don't see that very often...

I'll throw this out there, if SJF executes on offense there is no way that UR stays within 21pts...

Pressure is on the offense this week to come out and play like they did during the 2nd half of last week....

SJFF82

So Norwich is 2-0 and gets Husson this week...I know it was MT. Ida and Mt. Nobody in Weeks 1 and 2 but if they handle Husson and are 3-0...momentum is a funny thing...

Predictions:

Ithaca  41
Boltus   5TD'S (35)

SJF 24
UR  18  (but only because I am loyal...to be honest I fear the big upset for this one)

D-Lineman (Will end)  Nick Boone.  He was a starter for a highly ranked Defense, so I can only assume he was talented.

Wow...there must have been something there.  That is pretty unusual...my guess is the kids heart wasn't into it anymore.

Yanks -- ice will be there, along with a few IC posters who usually are more active on the boards (tecmo, dubbz, rowdy, Enforcer).  Look for the Orange cowboy hat.

Hopefully see you there!

GB15 has been upgraded to "probable" with an ankle. X-rays were negative and Doc said only that it was a severe sprain. Thus, GB15 will be in attendance on Saterday (not tomorrow, Yanks). I will be easy to find, just look for the limp.
