The game will certainly be interesting.  I agree with those that have posted that Juvan will play.  I am also not as concerned with the injury as I would have been last year because people I trust tell me this is the best IC O-Line in a very very long time.  Also, having a playmaker like Crandall back at WR gives me some comfort.

Obviously, it is difficult to use our performance against Hartwick's D as any kind of benchmark but at least the timing was there.

Also, in the event Grastorf does play, IC won't have to change its gameplan too much.  He is very similar to Juvan in that he is an athletic kid with a big arm.  Of course, he hasn't seen action in a game so, if we need him, it could be a good test of both the system and his personal fortitude.

If I had to bet, Juvan will play.  Even if he took most of the week off, it isn't like he is a young player...he knows the system and he will be fine.

Even while hobbling most of the game against 'Wick, he seemed to actually move a bit better closer to full speed, as opposed to walking around.  The coaching staff at IC is smart...if the kid was hurt that bad, there is no way they would have had him in the game in the 4th quarter against 'Wick with the game no longer in doubt.  If he is/was hurt that bad...yikes.

Should be a good one this weekend.

If that is the case then I am really not worried.  We have all had those injuries that are debilitating at 9 am but are healed with a little adrenaline.

No question about it.  He was clearly walking on it gingerly, but when they scored a few times, he was able to run around a celebrate more then you would think.  Like you said, probably one of those injuries that hurts like hell after you stop moving around, but once you get out there and stretch it out a little bit, you are able to play through it a bit.

Fish Folks - Is the park n ride still the only place you can cook and drink before the game?

The parking lot up by the new school of nursing can be used for tailgating, but it is really not that great a spot for it. More of a hassle than anything dealing with the security drive bys, and the students going in and out most of the morning. Also, it is a little cramped in there. The back corner is a good option tho.

It is just more fun in the park and Ride. More people tailgating, more room for games, and very little problems from the over excited, not enough to do, Fisher Security.

This guy will be there, with a group of about 10. Stop by the red tent and frisbee game for some drinks and good times.

Thanks SJFC- MIOH and Tecmo may take you up on the offer.  What bomber posters will be there this weekend?  Dubbz?  NSRB?  Enforcer?  Highlife?  TecmoYellow?  Hungover Bomber?

MIOH hopes you all make the trip it should be a good one... It will be interesting to see Juvan can be effective.  I'm sure he'll start, I just hope he can get out of the way when Fisher sends the blitz.  He couldn't move the 2nd half against Hartwick... luckily they never came within 17 feet of him.

Go Bombers

Hold the PHONE!  MIOH will be returning?  Well... Dubbz will now be hydrating and doing his damndest to get his fever below 100.   Lady Dubbz says if it doesnt drop than Dubbz will be sidelined.  Ugh, it sucks being tamed and stuck in a zoo.  But, now that MIOH and Tecmo will be returning, Dubbz will be working to get back to tailgate shape!

It is interesting that no one has talked about the weather tomorrow.  Rain rain rain.  So now we, Ithaca, have a qb with a bum ankle playing on an ice rink.   GRASTORFF  WARM UP!

aaahhhh bomber football.

P.S. Rowdy, will you be attending?

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

theoriginalupstate

no smiting for you....

fisheralum91

no smiting here either

boobyhasgameyo

It takes a lot for Booby to smite, he lays with the innocent.....

Matter of fact some +k cheer to all fellow E8 posters.  I cannot wait for tomorrow and another glorious Fisher victory, unless of course they lose in which case I will look forward to another glorious Saturday nap.

My take on the seemingly chilled E8 Boards this week despite big SJF-IC matchup:

IC posters, knowing that SJF has monkey-stomped IC in recent years (3 out of 4 i think... ), but knowing that IC looks to be the better team this year, but not wanting to pop off at the keyboard because the game is at Growney and afterall SJF is still King...have all decided to lurk in the bushes until bam...IC wins by 14 and then next week they lay it on good and flood the boards.

SJF posters:  know that SJF owns IC and the East region, but also knows that SJF looks like Shizit this year and are cautiously avoiding  'typing checks that the SJF offense will not be able to cash on Saterday'.

We shall see tomorrow!!!

SJF-IC is the feature story on d3.com.  Even used the term "stomp" to refer to SJF's last 2 victories ;)

Saw that one too.  Should be a great one.  Definitely the GOTW in the East.

Great game for the East! Best of luck to SJF and IC...maybe a little more to IC :)
