anybody else think it's weird that it's only week 4 and everyone in the E8 has a loss already?

I had exactly that initial reaction, but then it occurred to me that SJFisher's one loss is to Mount Union, so maybe their one loss gets an asterisk.

But then I thought some more, and I remembered what a tough time SJF had putting away the UofR last week, so maybe the parity in upstate NY and especially in the E8 isn't all that surprising.

Then I noticed that UofR knocked off Union in Schenehecktady, so maybe UofR is a force to be reckoned with in 2008. . . .  Strange upstate days indeed.  Most peculiar, mama.  (Those of you who can't recognize that bit of pop culture ought to take a night class).

So yeah.   E8, everyone has at least one loss.   Weird--leads to weirder stuff, even.

Not really...the class of the conference was supposed to be Fisher and Ithaca but expecting Fisher to win at MUC and Ithaca to win at SJF makes it not that unlikely

Something the Bomber coaching staff may want to be aware of:

1st Half points for Ithaca and SJF 2006-2008

Fisher 20
Ithaca 20

2nd Half points for Ithaca and SJF from 2006-2008

Fisher 88
Ithaca 12

To me, that says one team is making adjustments and the other isn't

And, regarding what Superman said about Fisher owning Juvan:

Juvan's career against SJF:

0-3, 55-97 533 Yards, 2 TD, 2 INT

Felliceti's Career:

2-1,  61-93 651 Yards, 5 TD, 3 INT

Pretty much sums it up, no?

To me, that says that one

Well the 4LC shirts are always a hit here in C-Town...nOt always easy to get non FIsher guys to rock the gear, but next year they will all be back again.

It always takes a year for people to realize the genius behind a T-Shirt.
GO FISHER!!!

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

theoriginalupstate

Juvan is the only QB in IC's long history to not record a win vs SJF....

Alot of people are probably going to come on here and blast me for calling SJF out, but maybe thats what needed to kick it in gear.  I know the guys read this, I dont say stuff with out a reason on here.  The offense was playing like crap and they needed to know about it.

They came out and put some good drives but were unable to get in the endzone in the first half but they looked good doing so.  They need to come out next week and open it up vs Wick, the D will make some stops vs Wick, but the Offense needs to put some pressure on Wicks Offense by scoring points.  They need to put Wick away early this year and not let them hang around like last year.

Yes and Yes...

Fisher needs to put Hartwick out of it early, and never let them back into it. I think if the offense can play like they did today against a decent Defense, then they should be able to move the ball, and score, againstg Hartwick (whose D is, lets say, not as good as IC). The big thing for Fisher next week will be to score on those long drives early in the game. Match their scores, and then some. '

And yes...it seems Saban is a mother Fing genius
GO FISHER!!!

Um...Upstate...this was only the 11th time they'd met. The list of Bomber QB's who played against Fisher were: Mike O'Donovan (1 game) Brian Young (3 Games) Josh Felliceti (4 games) and Dan (3 Games)

So it's not like there's been this expnasive history against them...A little perspective is all... ;)

FisherAlum05

I listened to the game today and Fisher seemed to play great.  Especially in the second half.  I think a 9-1 finish is very possible.  Before DewCrew can post his updated East Region top 10, here is mine:

1.  SJF
2.  Cortland
3.  Delaware Valley
4.  RPI
5.  Ithaca
6.  Hobart
7.  Albright
8.  Rowan
9.  Kean
10. Hartwick

Id have Del Val at #2

After all the worry about SJF's offense, did they finally show up today, or was the Bomber D that bad?  Or a combo?

Saban is like the smartest kid in the dumb class - the guy was awful in the NFL.

Congrats SJF on your big win today.  Team looked sharp and intense for the 1st time this year.  Next up 'Wick.

It was a matter of them finally performing today.  The Bomber defense was better than Buffalo States and U of R but we were able to put up more points today so that is just an indication to me anyway that the offense was in sync for that game at least.  Hopefully they turned a corner and will remain that sharp for the rest of the season.

Somebody better check on QViper today and make sure he is ok  ;)...couple of tough losses yesterday
