Alrighy, This was one of the worst weekends in the life of MIOH the sports fan.  Watching the Bombers get monkey stomped, followed by the other fish beating my beloved Mets and KO'ing their playoff chances for the second year in a row, and then topped off by the Broncos losing to the Chiefs.  Someone please kick me in the balls and shoot my dog to finish off the weekend.

First off... I have to agree with pretty much everything in GB15's post.  Especially about the Bomber offense.  Dubbz and I predicted about 88% of Ithaca's play calls this saterday... and my guess is if two idiots like us can figure out the gameplan then the guys in the booth for Fisher can too.

Our CB's haven't figured out how to stop a WR screen.  This has been something that Cortland has known for the past 5 years and I'm guessing Fisher got ahold of some of those tapes.  Smith cought a few screen passes and they worked for big yards everytime on Saterday.

Something Tecmo always says... and was true again this Saterday... Anytime an opposing QB gets out of the pocket against Ithaca it leads to big plays.

Fish Fans - Hats off.  You outplayed and outcoached the Bombers for the third year in a row.   I thought Baily looked good for you guys.  He made the big throws when given the green light... and didn't make any mistakes.

Supes - Good to meet you in person.

The visiting bleachers really, really, really suck (Insert MIOH kicking the dead horse)

Hopefully the Bombers will bounce back... still plenty of football to be played.

There's always next year

Actually the Bubble screen has been a staple in SJF's offense for years...

About 40% of Noah's 200 career receptions were from the Bubble screen...

Pep saw the Saxons go into the lockerroom down 14-0 to FDU-Florham because they failed to contain the very capable FDU QB. He made big plays when he was not contained in the pocket. AU made the necessary adjustment at halftime, the offense got untracked and the Saxons won, 21-14.

Pep appreciates Supes taking a seat on the visitors' bleachers and admitting how horrible they are. Pep saw a few members of the FDC on the back of the rugby field bleachers (higher than the football bleachers) on the webcast. Pep's 80-year-old pops stood up there for the 2007 AU-SJF game. That's just not right.

Man when is Philly going to get McNabb a legitimate WR again?

He was arguably one of the best QB's in the game with Owens, and now he's got a couple of midgets and midrounders to throw too...

Congratulations on wasting a perfectly good QB's career...

superman57

what is more sad is that the bleachers on the rugby side are better than the football... That is where superman stood... and if it is just a few people there... than it is kind of enjoyable... I got a nice perspective...but if you have a large following than it is really bad

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

From Pep's view of Saterday's game on the webcast, it appeared there wasn't a huge crowd at the game, but Pep could be wrong. Attendance was listed as 2933. Pep recalls the visitor stands being filled in '05 and '07 (att. 3756) when the Saxons were at Growney....plus AU fans on the Fisher side. So, perhaps the visitor stands aren't so much of an issue for other visitors, but Alfred has a good following when the Saxons play at Ithaca and Fisher.
