dew----3rd in the east?
behind cortland and del val?
wow.
im not feelin the love!   :D

Cortland was high in the poll, they haven't lost, and they've beaten a couple of NJAC foes.

DelVal upsets two top 10 teams in consecutive weeks, convincingly against Salisbury, I might add.

How could Fisher jump those two? At the same time it would punish Cortland for beating the opponents they've faced.

so then you had Cortland ahead of SJF to start the season?  Otherwise, you either 'punished' them for beating Buff St and/UR or 'punished' them for their loss to the team that doesnt lose

Is there a reason why my Karma goes down by one every day?  Is someone having a vendetta against me? lol.  All I've done today is post about the poll!

You have to knock them a little bit for that loss... they've played MUC THREE times now. The first game was close, but the last two have been a mess. It's like Georgia losing to Alabama... you have to knock down Georgia a little bit, even though both were ranked in the Top 10 at the time.

dew----losing to MUC even though it is the 3rd time in 3 years should not be considered a total flop---just ask everybody in their league..............
Hey- it will all come out in the wash i know---

AUPepBand

So what's in store for this weekend in the E8?

Hartwick's High-Flyin' (but defenseless) Hawks (1-1) at St. John Fisher Cardinals (3-1)
....this one's for the birds!

Norwich Cadets (2-2) at Alfred Saxons (3-1)
....this could be a real sword fight!

Utica Pioneers (0-3) blaze a trail in search of Pride, only to find Springfield's (1-2)
....this could be a p-popper for a play-by-play announcer

Ithaca's Bombers make some repairs back at the hangar...

On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

fisheralum91

How about (c) none of the above. He could have had Fisher ahead of Cortland to start the season and dropped Fisher only a couple spots after the MUC loss. I agree they shouldn't be "punished," but, at the end of the day, they lost by 30 points. You have to move teams ahead that beat their opponent.  If Fisher took MUC to OT or lost late in the game, it may have been different with Fisher staying status quo. I think #3 is right about where the Cards should be right now.

You have to take the good with the bad that comes from playing MUC. The bad being you may fall a couple of spots in a regional poll, the good is that Fisher is probably an at-large lock if they don't win the conference and go 8-2. I'd rather have the latter than some meaningless regional poll rank.
A 2004 graduate of the "almighty legendary" Ithaca College. Goooooo Bombers.

gb+ k for u as well.
well said.
i really think that is why the team is scheduling tough non conference games.
this year especially.
now- one game at a time and take a little agression out on the hawks for last years defeat!

FA.. it's not a total flop, they started at 1 or 2 (just can't remember at the moment) and now they are at 3 in my list. Not a total flop at all... they lost, but they lost to the best team in the country... like I said, you have to compare it to Georgia in their game against Alabama last week. Same situation.

+K. Exactly what I was getting at. Maybe "punish" is a bad word in this context. I think it's terrific that Fisher makes the effort to knock down Goliath, but if you go in there (after playing them twice in the playoffs, one close game and one not-so-close) and get smoked by 30, you have to be knocked down a little bit. I definitely wouldn't have kicked them out of the poll for it, but they have to lose some ground.
