As for the Trop, it isn't as bad as it looks on TV and is 20 times better after the owners dumped about $20 mil into it last season.  In my seven years with the club I saw every inch of the place and can say 1) it isn't the best stadium in the league, 2) it moved closer to the bottom of the list when they ripped down Three Rivers, and Riverfront but, no matter what, it will always be better than the Metrodome.

As a Twins season ticket holder, I can't argue this statement one bit. Thankfully, we only have one season left there.

Now move over JQV, I'm jumping on the Rays bandwagon.

This just in.........who cares if you are on the top/middle/bottom of the "worst region in D-III football"?   ;)

I have to give major props to SJF for improving their game greatly from week #1 to last week.  I realize playing Mount isn't always a fair test to determine how good your team actually is for the year, but after seeing (reading about) SJF playing mediocre at best games the following two weeks after the Mount game, I was impressed to see how they dismembered IC.

We over here in Mountland often take for granted what LK and the Purple Raiders have accomplished over the past 20 years.  We forget how incredible it is to continually stay on top of the mountain.  Next year coming to SJF might be the real test of Mount's ability to "reload not rebuild".  A certain QB and RB will be gone.  Arguably two of the best ever to play at the D-III level.

Here's to seeing one of you weak-sisters in the playoffs (provided the committee doesn't decide to continue the false propping up of the East and put Mount there again this year).   ;D

One more thing..........82 has a history of making confrontational, bold statements and then stating after the fact that he was "just misunderstood".   ::)

ahhh skunks but Pat and company have designated the Western Region as the worst of the 4.  give the east a little bit of love....

I saw the plans for the new park in Minn.  I gotta think outdoor baseball is going to be tough in April in October.

We welcome you to the bandwagon.  99.9% of the people with Rayhawks are new to the club which is ok with me.  In the old days, there weren't a lot of us around and we are enjoying the company...

Apparently everyone is watching Baseball tonight. Well I am off for tonight. A quick drive up rt 89 to 90 tomorrow night so I can be at Fisher for the game. See some of you there.

I can't believe how quick my dad was to jump on the Rays bandwagon this year (now residing in Venice).  I guess 25 years in the metro-NYC area didn't mean much for his support of the Mets/Yanks.

The crowd sounds great to begin, but I must say that the Trop is the worst MLB stadium that I've seen a game in (barely beating out the Kingdom).  Here's to hoping a deep run in the playoffs greases the wheels for a retractable-dome stadium for the Rays!

There has been a lot to love about this club this summer.

I love the trop.  Easy (and free!) parking, no traffic, cool bar in center field that you can go in, Fergs across the train tracks, seats pretty close to the action, no lines for food (Even with 30K).

Its probably not the best place for baseball to be played, but Im not playing it.....

Cards, does a Fisher grad live in *gasp* ITHACA?! I wouldn't blame ya if you did. I'd live there in a second if I could make enough money to pay my law school loans quicker.

Jose,

Balfour sitting down Cabrera is one of the coolest things I've ever seen in a baseball game.  Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!  I wish I could be there man.  I'm living for this season.

And Evan Longoria is a bad, bad man.  +K to the only other Rays fan I know.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

LOL, I like that picture.  That reminds me.  Tim Beckham is going to be a stud MLB shortstop in a few years too.  In the meantime, Jason Bartlett is hella-fun to watch.

Last night was beyond surreal.  I hosted a charity event where we honored Derrick Brooks for his work in the community.  Brooks came to the stage and proceeded to talk about ... the Rays.

+k back.  Since you are a Cortland guy, did you know that C-State has a connection to D-Rays history?  The guy that caught the only 3,000th hit to come on a HR (stroked by Plant High Alum Wade Boggs) was a former C-State ASID (I can't remember his name and the USF website is down) that had just moved to Tampa that week to take a job in the SID Office at USF.  Just to complete the small world/Cortaca Jug special, this IC grad went and escorted from the stands to the clubhouse so he could meet Boggsy and give him the ball.  On the way we discussed...why Cortland sucks, what else?

Are we serious?  I'm thinking we should start referring to the Cardinals as SUNY Fisher.
