Here is to a Hartwick education

the first word you mean is "their" and the second and third case "they're"

C'mon now -- we all made pacts not to insult the academic quality of each other's institutions.  You have plenty of fodder with the Cage, their defense and their Press Box.

Would SJF winning out and Hartwick losing to Alfred be considered an incredible circumstance? I don't get it -- SJF is still well in line for the automatic bid.

Its possible, but I just dont see anyone stopping Boltus.  He is by far the best player in this conference.  What he's done at Wick considering his surrounding cast is just amazing, his defense sucks (for the most part) yet he goes out every week and wins for them.

Do you really need to stop him?  Maybe one drive.  IC did score 69 on them.  How Fisher was held to 28 is unfathomable.

There defense isn't that good. there a bend but don't break defense.  There not gonna give up 69 every week, but they will score 35+ almost every week so you better be prepared to score at least that.

Could you imagine Wick if they had a D? But they don't and I just don't get how this team beats an SJF two years running. To me that clearly puts SJF into question and if they lose to a broken down Salisbury on Sat they, in my mind, will not deserve a bid, or to even go to the NCAA for that matter.

If I agreed to this, I hope I reserved my right to make fun of Cortland...

I agree that having shootouts every week is a very risky game plan, but it got them a confrence title, and a win against the #10 team in the country on their own home field. As long as they play mistake free football they will be in every game they play.

sorry frank-- old school pet peeve.

ill stop.

i do agree-- if wick had a "good" d they would be a force in the east for sure

Just curious - what is the attendence like at Hartwick home games?  Do they draw big from the student body?  Have they always?

Well this year they only had 1 home game and it was in the pouring rain, so naturally attendance was down. Last year they had decent crowds for almost every game. They had large one's for the Ithaca and Fisher game, and not so large ones for the Mt. Ida's and Hussons's.

Utica couldn't stop him, but dammit, we almost outscored him!

While, AU hasn't put together an NCAA season in recent memory, they have proved that they are capable of beating elite programs like Ithaca and SJF.

Here we go....

So far the only two teams that have been able to beat SJF on more than one occasion over the past 6 years has been MUC and of all teams Hartwick....

capable and actually doing it: definitely two different things. Without looking, are both of those games at Merrill?

OK. I think AU could take one of those two games. Will they? That's the difference.

Get over yourself...all i said is they are capable of....and you might want to add Ithaca to your list if you say in the last 6 years.
