Seriously, what do SJF fans have to complain about? They're going through a bit of a down year, but still have a chance to make the playoffs. Maybe they won't, but it's not like they've been outclassed by teams. They've lost to two Top 15 teams and the reigning conference champion. It's not like you're losing to Utica or Norwich Sometimes, you just don't get the breaks. It's just a rough year. And even then, it's not like you're turning into Norwich. Do you really think you won't be back there next season? Yeah, the Wick loss sucks. We bost lost to them last year, and we were both better in all likeyhood. It just seems like from week 1, Fisher fans have done nothing but complain about the coaching staff, the players, the direction of the program, etc. As recently as 2001, you were 3-7 and losing to Ithaca, one of the East's premier programs, 52-0. Now your team is going up against Mt. Union in the playoffs, featuring some of the best running backs in the country and flat-out embarassing IC every year, and at the first sign of even a slight downturn, it's complain, complain, complain. Instead of bemoaning the fact that maybe you won't be National Semifinalists this season, be grateful to a coaching staff that has turned your program around from the bottom and brought it to the top.

Bombers798891, you can list all the stats you want about yardage per game, but 290 of it is coming through the passing game.  If you've watched them all season you'd see that they can not run the ball consistently and the reason why is because they switched systems.  Like I said last week, this is going to be the first year since 2000 that they will not have a 1,000yd rusher and it is because they are in a shotgun spread offense.  They mixed that spread in last year but this season its nothing but the spread.  It is killing their running game, plain and simple.  I've gone over it before but until they start getting under center and holding that backside DE and OLB with the threat of a bootleg they wont run the ball effectively all game long.  Sure Carlton had two good games vs IC and SU, but his success came very early and as soon as the other teams adjusted Carlton became a non-factor.

Go ahead and rattle off more stats all you want but watching this offense try to run the ball is maddening...

Upstate I thought SJF was about 75% shotgun when they had Ferenbach as a JR or SR.

They were about 50/50 and if they did run out of the gun it was counters and traps, when they run now its all outside zone and you get no angles running that from the gun. Right now its 90 shotgun-10 under center.

Bombers...please for the sake of many SJFF fans, and for those who do not have the 'advantage' of posting or reading here regularly, clarify your post.  There are 1 or 2 gents who have done some or alot of "complaining" about the coaching etc...  On the other hand, there are many SJFF regulars on here, who have 'voiced' some objective and, at times, subjective critiquing and analysis of the game results.  There is a big difference between "complaining" and the latter.  It is unfair for you to lump many posters into 1.

Not a fair analysis of the the current state of the 'average' SJF poster on here.

I might be a little pissed if I were an SJF fan.  If they played Ithacas schedule they might still be ranked dont ya think?

Gives you some perspective on RPIs schedule I think.

ok... am I a little disapointed with the offense and the defense this year... yes... but here is what I am looking at Carleton is a solid back but he is small... the fact is 7-3 will be a successful year and then next year this should be a much stronger team

Does Fisher open with the (assumed) defending 2008 champions at Growney in '09?

Why should SJF fans be pissed? They played a tough schedule. I think one that's good for the East as a whole... that the East Region will play tough.
