Pep,

I noticed the saxons were "white on white" for the first time in about 8 years last weekend at Utica.  Looks like coach murray finally broke one of his superstitous habits.  It looked nice.

Deuce,
Pep didn't make the trip and was a bit confused at the start of the webcast....so Pep asked Kaz00, "where the heck are our purple pants?" Pep doesn't remember the Saxons in all whites since the '70s or '80s.
The Saxons looked like a team of "Mr. Cleans"...now let's just hope they can clean up through the rest of their schedule and, with some help, as was previously suggested, make you the Don Mattingly of AU!  ;)

If I remember correctly, the last time they wore all whites was in 2000 and they were beat handily by Hartwick prompting Murr-dog to "never" again allow the all whites.  Looks like he allowed it last week and we won, so it is all good.

Yeah, Pep recalls now that he was at that debacle, a 57-19 loss in the cage on the hill...(AU QB Todd Zandrowicz actually "threw one away...over the fence, out of the park")

Hartwick had an outstanding quarterback in Pincelli but the Hawks also returned two long picks-for-six (does that constitute a twelve pack?) Pep is thinking perhaps he forgot about AU being dressed in all white because he had long since chosen to forget everything associated with that particular game.

Carlton is not strong enough to run inside, or quick enough to run outside. If he does not fumble at the 5 yd line vs Salisbury, Fisher wins that game. Carlton will lucky to be #3 on the depth chart next year. Also if Pierri could make 20 Yd FG vs Hatwick, Fisher wins that game also. Hopefully Brown and Biehl get some carries this week vs Springfield. With both of them back, maybe, will we see some power football from Fisher.

Its funny.  Ithaca actually wore all blue one year (1995 or 1996?).  It was for one year only and I think although the bombers were undefeated at home, the season as a whole didnt go well and Welch said never again for blue pants.

I thought Carlton was a tough RB in the games that I saw.  He has some problems holding onto the ball, but he looked pretty dangerous out there, from what I remember.  Who are the two backs that will replace him, Brown and Biehl?  I thought I remember Brown being hurt early on...but what is Biehl's deal?

What is it about football and superstition?

Last year, Kaz00 was seated at Pep's left for the first seven games. Kaz00 was at Pep's right at Hobart, a dreadful game--and AU's first loss. Kaz00 vowed from that day he would always be Pep's left-hand man.

Kind of a boring week this week for the E8...

Alfred and Norwich are off...

Hartwick is out in Mt. Ida...

Anyone think that Springfield has a shot against Fisher, or Utica at Ithaca...which would be the bigger upset.

At this point, Pep sees wins by Springfield or Utica (over Fisher and Ithaca, respectively) would be equally huge.

Pep has looked two or three times at the video of the St. John's vs. St. Thomas (Johnnies Tommies) and it sure as heck looked like the Tommies had the go-ahead score. Then Pep learns that the first-year Tommies coach is a--you guessed it--a Bomber!!

I've been trying to find out what happened to Biehl for weeks now but have yet to get an answer.  He played in week 1 against Mount Union and he is a big running back and I remember he was effective catching the ball out of the back field.  I don't think his rushing numbers were good that game but I mean nobody's rushing totals are great against Mount Union.  I really believe he will be great against other teams, but I'm going off such an extremely limited sample size.

The only reason I think UC over IC would be a bigger upset is because UC has scored a total of 28 points in seven games against IC.  They would almost certainly need at least that many to be close.  Blaise's has got them believing though...so nothing is impossible.

Pep, where did you get the video of the St. John's game?

I think a big question to answer, in order to determine which game is a bigger upset, is which Fisher team shows up to play. The team against IC, or the team against HC? If the bad Fisher shows up, they are very beatable. Although, Utica beating any of the upper level teams would be rediculous.

I think both will roll having said all that.
