I see something like:

SJF: 33
SU: 14

IC: 44
UC: 10

Alfred's probably got a better chance upsetting SJF than Springfield

I think you mean SC Bombers.... there's no way SU would put up 14 against Fisher.

Fumbles vs Salisbury killed Fisher. The D made enough stops to win the game, the O put the ball on the turf 4 times. Biehl dressed at Norwich but did not play.
As of today Fisher only has 8 games on the schdule for next year. Salisbury was a one and done, Norwich is leaving the E8.

Hell lets see if UW-Whitewater and Wesley want to go next year!

In reality i'd like to see RPI and Bart back on the schedule, those were some great games a couple of years ago.

I'm still skeptical of Ithaca being that high.... although I'm not sure they should have lost a spot nationally.

I'm shocked at the exclusion of Utica.  Obvious oversight on Dewcrew's part.

Hahaha...I don't know DC...after last weeks ATR, you gave UC and awful lot of pub over 2 wins.  I mean, if Fisher can be ranked 4th with 3 losses...why can't UC be ranked in the top 10 with 4?

Easy Fish fans...its a joke.

Good luck getting RPI. They simply won't schedule SJF because they are a very good team. We all know RPI's plan each year. They simply will not play a decent OOC schedule and that includes SJF.

DC...how do you pick/rank your teams each week...I mean, I know it is not an exact science...but I am curious.

I am all for another E8 team being in the top 10...and as a 'Wick fan, I have to hope Alfred beats IC...but not sure why Alfred would jump into the top 10 at #7.  Because they beat your team UC?  Alfred has 5 wins this year against teams with a combined 9-22 record (.290 winning percentage)?  Only FDU-F is .500 at 3-3.  Not really knocking Alfred here...I think they are a very tough team...as was obvious by the great game at the cage a few weeks ago.

Also, why change up the IC, Wick, and SJF rankings?  All 3 buried teams they should have last week.

Not complaining about the rankings...none of these rankings will have any bearing on the playoff spots...just curious...and this is a really boring night...

Pep would think DewCrew, being human, naturally would give more credit to a team that had just beaten his team....after his team had played RPI very tough, beat Springfield and trounced Mt. Ida, a team that somehow beat a 6-1 Plymouth State team that this week poses a challenge to Curry.

Ironically, Pep and Kaz00, in collaborating regarding the East Region Fan Poll, discussed possibly putting Alfred at #10 but in the interest of objectivity, declined.

Anyone going to the IC-UC Mug on Saterday?

It's not really exact at all.... The AU thing.. still in first place in the E8, they haven't been ranked all year until now. They are beating the teams they have to beat, but now the big games: IC and Fisher are still to play... we'll see what happens after that. IC, Wick and Fisher moved a little bit because of the Del Val loss.

EDIT
Re: UC pub
I do a pretty good job being fair when it comes to rankings and columns, I think people here would agree.
They were first in the conference (I know only one game, but Norwich hasn't won a conference game in almost 3 years, so doing it is pretty good). And Blaise is a new coach, so I figured I would talk to him and get his thoughts on the season so far.
Go back through the archive of columns, see how much I give UC vs. any other team.

I'll be there...If IC's O-line is in top form it's going to get ugly. I may have to go home early and pray for my Spartans to finally win in Ann Arbor

Also, regarding the post of Ithaca "losing a spot" nationally, while they technically did, they recieved more points this week than last week, so I wouldn't be too worried. This is the Annual "Ithaca rebounds to crawl up the rankings after being overrated and then subsequently dropped following their first lost, and before another inevitable late season crash drops them from the rankings only to inexpicably find them BACK up there at the start of 2009." thing. Juvan and the boys will tighten up and drop one somewhere. It's the IC specialty

Good explanation...I was more curious then anything else.  Alfred can still make a lot of noise in the next few weeks.  It is too bad they lost their first game against a non-conference team that they probably shouldn't have (been there with WNEC last year).

And I am not knocking the UC pub...I grew up in the UC area, have friends that know Blaise very well, and think that UC has a real opportunity in the next few years to become a major player in the E8 (especially if they are still able to hand out FA packages like they have in the past...maybe a bit harder right now).  The column was a good one...as are most of them each week.
