I just think Wick stands for complete consistency and should never be doubted or slighted in the least. Losing to WNEC, giving up 70 to Utica (07), 69 to IC (08) and a solid victory over WNEC, to go along with an outstanding OOC schedule I cannot see how anyone would question them period. Oh yeah I forgot the solid showing in the NCAAs last season against Curry. Curry by the way is ranked in the top 25 in the AFCA poll (which I find funny). In actuality aside from my sarcastic banter I love seeing Boltus and Phelan doing so well. I just get annoyed when people think they have done anything worth recieving serious East respect. When they become consistent and don't lose to NEFC teams for longer than a year or two things will change. By the way dewcrew does a solid job of being objective and writing creative ATE articles week in and week out. Sorry K-Mack you rock to but I live for ATE even over ATN (maybe I just said that because you are passing on the shoes game). Just kidding, both you guys are solid.

great point... so with this opinion I'm just going to stop pulling for hartwick until they at least have ten undefeated seasons in a row... because thats the only way for a team to have "east respect".

no nine undefeated seasons. God where did you get 10 from?

i figured thats as high as you we able to count...

Bosox no need to get personal with insults. To me that just shows that you realize that I am right in my assessment of Wick and where they belong. Dude I like Wick but I can handle the truth around them just like I can with my Dutchmen. Settle in and support your team but be able to handle the banter on the board. Also good luck when Boltus leaves. I will be glad to continue this conversation next year. By the way Wick will not amke it three in a row vs SJF next year! Enjoy your year and hopefully your team won't embarass the East as a whole this year by possibly winning the E8 and again, as I have stated so many times getting smoked by Curry.

Not meant to be personal... just sarcastic... i think you may be famaliar with sarcasm as i have seen your last few posts...
thats an odd assessment on your part... me joking that you cant count... means i agree with your statements about wick?
I'm not handling the banter on the board?  if you cant tell i enjoy it
I'm not dillusional I fully understand the realm of everything that is going on... am i supposed to come on the board and "settle in" and not say anything?  what in the world is the point of the board then?
not one of your best efforts here...

Sorry to disappoint but the effort was solid and truthful. See thats where it counts can you banter and make sense and/or be realistic? Keep up the good work:) I think I should go over and check the NEFC board out and hang with the Curry and WNEC fans. I am sure they would enjoy our conversation because of Wicks consistent and well rounded play against two of their schools:)

i'm not positive but I think they are consistent ...1 and 1 vs both teams... gotta count for something

Is there any chance Utica can beat Ithaca this weekend?

fisheralum91

highly unlikely.
i know that blaise will have his boys inspired but inspiration doesnt overcome lack of overall talent

Alright, Pep has tomorrow off. AU has a bye. Should Pep attend the Springfield at Fisher game at Growney (and probably sit on the side where he can see) or does he go to Butter Field to see the Ithaca-Utica Club Mug(ging)?

Pep will await replies of Fisher/Bomber fans to see if he gets any tailgate (free meal) invites, then decide which has the better offer.

You're such a food whore, Pep!  (I can say that cause I am too).  But, how can you so frivilously give yourself away to free food, when the band is having a Bye Week BBQ at Kaz00's this saterday?!?  That's free food, with the band, and some E8 action on my laptop.  So you really want to risk having the Bandwagon break down on a trip to see another team play when you could save your money and eat free food with your friends?

But, my vote would be for Butter Field since you'd get to sit on the home side with it's great view and we're going to Rochester next weekend.
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

Pep--

If you come to Butterfield, we'll let you be a part of our--really crappy--pep band. It's sad what happened to those guys. I promise no food, but if you'd like, we can engage in a debate as to the kind of food we would be eating, if I were a better host and not broke. Sound like a plan?

Yeah but it all seriousness, both SJF-Springfield and IC-Utica will be ugly. Stay at home and wait for PSU and OSU

ok that was entirely too much babble about hartwick.  the only solace that i have is that this discussion will be moot next year because the wick will be back to normal-bad

Bad huh?  Last ten meetings between Hartwick and St John Fisher... Hartwick leads the series 6-4.... so whats that make you?

Results of Fisher vs. Hartwick this decade.

2000---- St. John Fisher 21  Hartwick 27  (Hartwick +6)
2001---- St. John Fisher 7  Hartwick 24  (Hartwick +17)
2002---- St. John Fisher 27  Hartwick 31 (Hartwick +4)
2003---- St. John Fisher 44 Hartwick 18 (Fisher +26)
2004---- St. John Fisher 55 Hartwick 10 (Fisher +45)
2005---- St. John Fisher 70 Hartwick 41 (Fisher +29)
2006---- St. John Fisher 57 Hartwick 16 (Fisher +41)
2007---- St. John Fisher 28 Hartwick 31 (Hartwick +3)
2008---- St. John Fisher 28 Hartwick 31 (Hartwick +3)

So this decade Hartwick has only beaten Fisher by more than a touchdown one time.  Fisher on the other hand has destroyed Hartwick leaving no doubt.  I can tell you last year Fisher should have won the game if their kicker could kick a field goal or the 4th and goal play wasn't botched at the end, and we all know about how this years game went with the missed field goals and fumbles.  Hartwick hasn't proven they are better than Fisher these past two years, they have proven they are luckier I suppose.  Also you guys keep mentioning how Fisher has 3 losses this year, well my God I would love to see your team play against Salisbury and Mount Union....combine that with the Ithaca loss, well I would think that would put you at 3 losses yourself, and you would have been a Fisher botched performance away from having 4.

Oh and if you want to keep going back into the 90's when a new Fisher program took on Hartwick I'm sure SJFF82 would love to tell you how Fisher swept Hartwick all 4 years he was there.

Meh, the shoes switch feet from time to time. It's really immaterial if one team is "better" than the other because right now, Hartwick's an Ithaca collapse in Alfred away from being E8 champs the second year in a row. Would I take Hartwick if the two teams played again tomorrow? Probably not.

Frankly, I'm not sure that either SJF fans or Wick fans can really trumpet their teams as models of consistency. Fisher has been very good the last 5-6 years, but both teams have had pretty awful seasons recently.

Fisher 99-2002: 11-28
Hartwick: 03-06: 11-27

So you've both had some lean years. Right now, Fisher's probably the better overall program, but Hartwick's won the last two. Hartwick's teams have no reason to concern themselves with SJF other than for three hours on Saturday
