I'm still looking forward to meeting you Pep.  It just won't be this year.

Pep, I looked online this morning for direct flights from Tampa to Mayberry to no avail.  Not even any flights into Almond.  Go figure.

I was sort of hoping that ICTV would sack up and broadcast this game on TV (which they have done for significant road games in the past) but no such luck.  I will be listening to the game on ICB and hopefully won't have to hear one kazoo!

when did they travel and broadcast the games?

I think you may be mistaken on this one....very tough to go live without a microwave.  Butterfield is hard-wired to Park.

They did the game at Hobart my senior year live on ICTV.  We needed to beat them to get in and Felicetti was coming back from injury to replace an awful Steenberg.

They did another the next year I think too...

My guess would be that this isn't just a "win and get in" scenario. IC could lose it and still secure a playoff spot.

Speaking of playoffs, what E8 team do you guys think could make the deepest runs in the playoffs? Wick? Alfred? IC? Let's get some discussion

It totally depends on if Cortland is the #1 seed or not...

How many tickets get sold for a sell-out at Cortland's stadium?

Not that Fisher has any games in which there would be a threat of 'overcrowding', but the good thing about the design of Growney, is that I do not see that there would ever be a sell-out per se.  There is room for at least a couple-thousand standing room tix.  Everything is open within the stadium, plus, perhaps a thousand more could easily and comfortably watch the game with good view from the lawn/fields that surround the South/East endzone and the visitor's bleachers.

It's kinda like an all you can get scenario.  Now, of course if there was game with an anticipated crowd like that of Cortaca, that might force the Administration to actually count and limit ticket sales, so who knows?

agreed.....plus, Park had a Dean who was a big football fan then too......  :)

John McGraw

Usually it's around 9,000. The 2004 box score lists the game attendance as 9,000 while the 2006 game has the attendance at 9,700. And just for giggles, the 2002 attendance was posted as 8,700.

In contrast, crowds at Butterfield have been listed as 9,700 in 2007, 10,800 in 2005, 11,743 in 2003 and a school-record 12,620 in 2001 (thanks Ithaca sports info archives!).

Pep,

I hope all of the Bombers are thinking about Cortland.  See you Saturday.

Go Saxons

Whoo-hoo!!!! Go Dad!!!!!!!

Actually, part of his reasoning behind doing the games was that IC's TV/Radio stations were learning environments. If we had kids who wanted to learn sports broadcasting, that was the way to do it
