I think the East Region bracket will end up looking something like this:

1.  Muhlenberg (10-0)
2.  Ithaca (9-1)
3.  Plymouth State (10-1)
4.  Cortland State (9-1)
5.  SJF (7-3)
6.  Montclair State (9-1)
7. Albright (8-2)
8. RPI (8-1)

Hoping that Fisher takes care of Alfred next week.  Also hoping Muhlenberg is imported and NOT MUC.

Where is Hobart?

They've got the inside track on the LL, a win vs UR gets them the AQ...

whoops.  my prediction is as follows for the East bracket:

1.  Muhlenberg (10-0)
2.  Ithaca (9-1)
3.  Plymouth State (10-1)
4.  Cortland St.  (9-1)
5.  SJF (7-3)
6.  Montclair St.  (9-1)
7.  Hobart  (8-1)
8.  Albright (8-2)

I hope your lack of respect for Cortland results in a 40 point thrashing...we will see what happens.

Even after a bye week, I think SJF will sneak into the next NCAA regional rankings.  They have a 6-1 in-region record and control their own destiny in a tough E8 conference...

haha.  i have respect for Cortland, I just think Ithaca has alot more riding on the game than Cortland does.  I know its the Cortaca jug and both teams will be up for it.  But Cortland has already secured a post season berth and most likely a first round home game, and possibly the top seed.  Ithaca needs to win this game to assure themselves of an NCAA bid.

I watched the Cortland/Brockport game today, and I think next weeks Cortaca game should be a good one. I think IC is the better team tho.

I am happy that Fisher has a second chance on this season. I think we will find out a lot about the team next week. You have to show up for one game, against a good team, but a team you can beat, to extend your season. Playoffs start now for Fisher.

I predict:

Hartwick is done...
fisher wins and gets in...
IC beats Cortland and gets in as an at large.

Fisher IC in the East region finals? I don't know but Fisher or IC would have a chance. IC can beat any of the east region teams, and if Fisher holds onto the ball (a big if) so can they...

Man Notre Dame is bad

Wow, you haven't seen much of Cortland this year have you?

I have actually seen C-state this year 4 times, and each time I am less impressed with them. The offense has some absolute studs, but they have struggled to stop even the bad teams in the NJAC. I have seen them let teams that they are far supperior to, hang around in games, and I have seen them play tight games when I thought they should blow the other team out.
I have seen IC twice, and I think they can move the ball just as well as Cortland, and I think the IC defense will be one of the better units Cortland has seen all year. All due respect to Montclair State, and Rowan, IC will be the most complete team that Cortland has played this year, and lets not forget what IC did to Cortland last year.
I am confident Cortland is one of the better teams in the east region (obviously), but I think they would have finished 3rd in the E8. Maybe I am just a homer, but I think IC, Fisher, and Hartwick are capable of beating them. I don't know, I have been drinking since 10am, so maybe I am way off.
GO FISHER!!!

FA: I think you're off a bit. Ithaca won't jump to a 2. No way, I don't care if they beat Cortland by 40.
Hobart's missing too.
Plymouth is also way too high at three, they'd be a 6/7 at the highest.

-Best case scenario for the ENTIRE east is that Cortland wins the Jug and keeps MUC in the north, if IC takes it Muhlenburgh or MUC is imported.

Absolutely. I've been saying that all along. The east has eight good teams.. keep MUC and Muhlenberg out.

Cortland's only guarantee a place in the show. Not only is it the rivalry, Cortland is playing for undefeated, 10-0, and the top seed and at least one guaranteed home game. Also, the game is in Cortland.

I just don't think they'd do that to the East two years in a row.  They will have some mercy on us and import another team like the Mules and maybe give us a fighting shot at actually winning our own region.

Yeah, I don't see Mount Union in the East bracket at all this year.   Keep in mind, the NC double A_ _ H _ _ _ _ (name that movie) pay for all travel expenses in the playoffs and, especially now, they want to cut down on overnight travel expenses as much as they can.    If Fisher wins, a trip to Hobart, Cortland or even (gulp) Ithaca would be better for the 'man' in the overall ledger.    I never said it made sense; it just it what it is.

But the point is that the NCAA doesn't classify the brackets as Geographical Regions anymore, specifically, just by the number 1 seed, therefore it isn't really the east's region.  If their goal is to have "the best 4 teams" in the semifinals, then they must try to put the 4 strongest teams as number 1 seeds (This is where geography plays a part --- They will do this if it's geographically feasible, which MUC is).

To say they will have "mercy" on the region is ridiculous as they would never see it that way.

boobyhasgameyo

Well jeeze PG i was kind of joking with the mercy part, but I do think they will try to mix it up a little bit and not have Mount Union play in the Eastern bracket for the 2nd consecutive year.
