Boltus also has a great GAME DAY coach in Coach Carr. Best game dame coach in the E8, he gets the most out of which he has to work with.

upstate has it right everybody minus wick will be happy that boltus wont be back.  an article in the utica od the other day said that nfl scouts from all teams have been to oneonta on a regular basis.   sheesh-- good riddance

I've got a bad feeling about this one.  KazooTwo's plane was delayed 3 hours at Logan last night so we didn't get back to Mayberry until 2:30.  And word on the street is that the seniors are still bummed from last week's loss.  Here's to hoping that the rain slows both teams down so that the Saxons are in it late.  Plus I'd rather watch another ECAC at Merrill rather than travelling next saterday.

Ok, so the neutralizer is in play..... rain.   Last time Fisher played in the rain they fumbled the ball 5 times!!  Game plans might be skewed a little today.   Prediction:

SJFC: 27
Alfred: 23

Looking forward to this one.

E8 - how bad is it up there?  Curious for both the fisher-alfred game and cortaca.

Thankfully both these games will be played on artificial surfaces, its been a downpour for the better part of the morning...

Its starting to clear a bit here in Rochester but the skies look like there may be more coming...

Looking out my dining room window, it has been raining moderate to hard all morning long.  Hopefully Pep has found the EZ-up or else it'll be a cold and wet afternoon.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

I'll go the other way: AU 31, Fisher 27.

Cortland wins too, and the Red Dragons are the No. 1 seed.

Congratulations Ithaca.  I chose you as my preseason #1 and kept you in the top spot until the Fisher loss, which I know you'd love to have back.  It took 11 weeks but (unfortunately for us) you ended up proving me right.

The Bombers are the best team we've played this season.  No surprise, with the class program that Coach Welch runs and the proud tradition.  Your fans were great today too.  Actually both sides fans made for an extra entertaining afternoon, braving the rain.

We may see you again in the playoffs.  As Ernie Banks was known to say, "Let's play two."

From the Cortland standpoint, there was a lot of head scratching on the sidelines about the play calling.  Ithaca couldn't stop Andrew Giuliano, and the line was opening up big holes.  Why they kept taking the ball out of their hands, and putting it all on Miles, is beyond me.  Ray is a great QB, having a fantastic senior season.  But today just wasn't his day.  Anyhow, we play as a team and lose as a team.  I just would like to have seen how much closer the game could have been if we stuck with Giuliano once we got inside the 35 yard line.

Keep your fingers crossed that MUC doesn't return East tomorrow.   8)

The 31pt loss by IC to SJF was a total aberration...

Congrats IC for a great season good luck in the NCAA's...

Sorry to the SJF seniors that you had to waste your senior season due to a coach who thought he was smarter than he actually was...

Parks needs to go...

hey at least they never quit. they fought back and played an ok game. while i don't agree with a lot of the play calls, or the direction of the offense its pretty early to be calling for a guys job. idk, i know its frustrating but congrats guys on playing hard throughout the season. untimely stupid penalties, a boat load of turnovers, and a a-rod like clutch kicking game did us in again. they were dealt a tough schedule and the record shows. before the season, i had buddies predicting at worst a 6-4 year. it would have taken the best game ever by a fisher team to beat mt. union. didn't happen. lost a close one to hartwick, again. lost to a good salisbury team in 4OT's. lost to alfred in OT. couple bounces a different way and fisher is 9-1 in the playoffs. hopefully the program pulls itself back up and comes back next year. this is the point where you see whether fisher was a 4 year wonder or a solid program. i vote solid program.

Just got back from Merrill and I'm on my way to Pep's Pinochle Party, but I just wanted to say congrats to Ithaca and thank the Alfred Saxons for a fun season.  I'll be back later to read all the posts and give my thoughts.
