Never a fan of anything Fisher, but I find this thread appalling-they lost a lot of great guys to graduation and a fine coach in Faggiano-unrealistic to expect a stellar performance this year.
A thread like this is an insult to the program, D3 and especially the players who give their all just for love of the game.

Word for word. This thread is completely unnecessary, IMHO.

And it's actually a violation of the terms of service:

"4. No one team needs a conversation of its own. If there is already a conversation about that team's conference, I will remove the new conversation. If there is no conversation about that team's conference, I will rename the new conversation to make it more inclusive."

Good pick-up pg04!

Respectfully, I will merge this back into the E8 board.  :)

Thank You Ralph... this is redicuoulus conversation... in the past two seasons the team has lost its best Running back ever, one of its best qb's ever, a majority of the offenseive line and a large chunck of the amazing defesne... it's not gonna always be 9-1 and NCAA's

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

IC v. Curry next week. Winner plays Cortland-Plymouth State winner. Could we see Cortaca II on Nov. 29th?

BTW, you are CRAZY if you think Curry's monkeystomp of Hartwick in Round 1 last year didn't play into the decision to give Curry a Pool C last year. How else can you account for their admission over Rowan when Rowan was ranked ahead of Curry in last week's regional rankings and Rowan won this weekend while Curry didn't play a game.

Once again, thank you Hartwick for the gift that keeps on giving. I'm actually pleased we get to play Curry instead of Montclair or Rowan. The NJ teams could have posed some athleticism problems for Ithaca.

I think Rowans close one with Bridgewater St also might be key in this selection...

If the committee is using last years results for this years selections, then they should be reprimanded.  You are supposed to pick the teams based on this year.  I agree that Wick, RPI, Montclair, and Rowan should have made it over Curry...

They took a team that essentially finished third in its conference over several teams ranked ahead of them in the region...

Hartwick should have gone in over both of them ... I dont understand how Curry got the bid... they finished third in their conference?  its a joke... It should have come down to Montclair and hartwick for the last spot... I dont understand the justification that Curry beat Hartwick LAST YEAR has anything to do with who should go this year... so utterly stupid.

To the players that DID GIVE THEIR ALL - I would agree.  However, to anyone who has watched this team this year, the number did not match the number of players on the field at any given time.

Yanks, be realistic. Curry was the 2nd best team in their conference. Can't punishing them for having two uneven divisions. If an East team was getting a Pool C, here's how I would have had it ranked:

1) Montclair
2) Rowan
3) Curry
4a) Hartwick
4b) RPI

As Frank mentioned earlier, Hartwick shouldn't have been in the conversation. They lost to Springfield. Do you not realize how devastating that is? A two-loss Pool C team CANNOT LOSE TO A TEAM WITH 3 WINS!!!

Look, I am not disagreeing that we should have taken care of business against SC, and if we had, we wouldn't have a care in the world.  I just don't think the NEFC as a whole is very strong.  I would have no problems with RPI, Rowan, or Montclair getting the final nod.  But to move over a 6-4 Randolph Macon team from the South and get a second NEFC team as a Pool C...that is a big slap in the face to the E8, the NJAC, and the LL...

In Regards to the Fisher '08 Season:

Before I go on a tirad that will no doubt be critisized to the who cares about winning, let's just play and fun crowd -

I want to take a moment and give massive amounts of praise to #83 TIM MARION

The most important things that happen on a football field are often the toughest to measure from  a stats perspective.  I have watched this kid play these last few years and the guy is tough.  Not the fastest, yet finds a way to make others miss, and gain YAC.  He leaves all on the field, scrapping, fighting, trying to help the team win.

To me, nothing quite captured what this guy was all about until the 4th quarter of yesterdays game.  Catches the ball short of the first down marker, as he always found a way to do, got to the first down point, ended up fumbling, ball bouncing 5 to 7 yards in front of him, only to shake loose the 3 Alfred players draped all over him to hustle to recover the fumble and keep the drive going.

Great play, great player, great career.

Jonny Utah

Yanks if you don't want to look at last year, then how can you say the NEFC isnt that strong?

Yanks, the East teams don't deserve it. Fisher and RPI wet the bed yesterday. Hartwick did the same the week before. As Pat has often said, you have to EARN it, it will not be handed to you. I agree the NEFC is weak. But Curry is more qualified this year than Hartwick. They don't have the wart on their resume like Hartwick does with the loss to SC.

Let me ask you this: do you think if Hartwick defeated Curry last year that this would have happened? It's a yes or no question, no need to include the part about whether it should be considered or not.

P.S. I agree Rowan and Montclar should have made it over Curry. That is not the argument. The issue is Curry v. Hartwick. If that's the issue, I agree with Curry's admission.
