It is so hard to listen to all of you bicker about how aweful Fisher was this year!  They won 6 games, and almost had 3 more wins.  It's ridiculous how fast fans can turn on a team.
If you were at the Alfred game and say there wasn't any trash talking from the fans, then you are dilusional.  Through the entire game all you could hear from the fans were negative statements about the coaches and players alike.  It's absolutely ridiculous.  I've never been so embarrassed to be associated with a group of people in my life.  The fans should be supportive...that's what they are there for....to be FANS.
Moreover, statements about Vosburgh playing his own son because he is his son are ridiculous.  If you knew Coach V, then you wouldn't make sure ignorant statements.  He has gone above and beyond putting the decision about if his sons plays into other peoples hands. Would those comments have been said if Coach V's son had played better in the game like he played against Salisbury? ...probably not.  The fact of the matter is, you are NOT there during practice to see who is doing the best.  You aren't there to see you is screwing around and who isn't.  It is during the week where the decision of who plays and who doesn't is decided.  So don't talk like you know what is going on.

A majority of these players have been babied all their lifes.  The fact of the matter is, Fisher is no longer a blue-collared school.  Most of the players there have not worked for anything in their life and feel a sense of entitlement.  They weren't there when the team went 2-8 or 1-9.  They have always been part of a winning season. They, for the most part (I'm not saying all the players are like this) , have no idea what it really is to work for something. The coaches have been desperately trying to show this to the players and change their attitudes.  Because that attitude will get you no where in life.

Furthermore, all this talk about firing coaches is absolutely insane.  Would you be saying this is if we had gone 7-3 or 9-1?....i think not!  Sometimes plays just don't work out for you.  Three of the four losses came down to the wire.  Without good coaching those games wouldn't have even been close.
So those of you who are being negative nancy's need to get a reality check!

Was that the feeling you were getting at the games because no one on here brought that up.  I was actually pretty happy for the kid making some plays vs Salisbury.

I would agree with that, there are some players who are just soft on that team

Yeah I probably went overboard for calling for Parks' head, but the whole season the offense wasnt very good.  Sure they got some yards, but I think they're at the lowest average points for total in years.  They were getting too cute in the redzone with their packages and play calling.  I think if they didnt switch offense they'd have a much more productive year, but thats just me though.

So fans cant be negative?  What is this preschool?  This isnt tee ball where everyone gets a trophy and everyone gets to play and there are never any losers.  There are expectations and when those expectations arnt met you can expect to be critized.  I'd be more worried if everyone on here had a blindly optimistic view about the season from the fans.

Upstate,
I would say that finding original episodes of The Transformers would be more exciting that Voltron.  You can't hate on Megatron and Soundwave and that always undermining Starscream.

I know, but those are as difficult to find as He-Man episodes...

I love how the talk here went from serious discussion of SJFs program to the insubordination of lower level decepticons...

Well, let's take a shot at this: Who do we think will make the list from our team? I'll try first team skill position guys, but maybe others are more talented

IC

Bergerstock, Weverbergh, Cheir, Scalice maybe? I'd imagine some OL guys are bound to make it as well.

For AU I'd say that Manzer at WR and Nick Clark at LB should be first team.  Clark is local and went DI for wrestling last year, but is now in his first year at Alfred.  Topping the E8 in sacks and tackles for loss in his "freshman" year gives AU a solid leader on both sides of the ball for the next 3 years.

I did hear that there are two more installments of the live action one coming out...

XRed took the plunge and bought the box set of seasons 1-3, plus the original movie from Amazon a few years back.  That original series had such a great musical score for a cartoon, and such cold war type overtones.  Long Live the Autobots!

Congratulations to IC and Coach Welch! I hope at least a couple of Pioneers make it onto the list... maybe Eric Kahl on defense, possibly kicker Casey McNulty or punter Ben Atwood.

Well, I was wrong about Clark, but since he was the only "freshman" on the first and second team I can understand that the E8 would honor 3 seniors at linebacker.  I was on the fence as to whether or not I thought Nitsche would make the first team since there were a lot of deserving DBs.  I was glad to see two Saxons on the first team and that Secky got ROY, but I'm really encouraged by all the second team players (plus Manzer from the first team) who will be returning next season.

I think next year will be the year Alfred breaks on through.  It will probably be another crazy 3 way tie for the automatic bid but Alfred is going to the dance.  They have a really good, really young team.
