They are traveling more than 10 hours (which was a lack of consideration by the ECAC committee to send Fisher that far and I understand they are taking tremendous heat for it...and not by SJFC mind you)

UM, then by whom? Who else could possibly give a damn?

The NCAA.

Is it because of the travel implications?

Regional proximity is all i am aware of.   I think this will help this program however.

They don't so much apply, but two-three weeks prior to the ending of the season, each team declares that they will accept an ECAC bowl bid if offered.

WICB Sports

Just wanted to let all you loyal followers of Division-III football know that WICB will be having ALL the action from this weekends Ithaca-Curry game.  Here is the schedule of the day's events:

11:30 a.m. Countdown to Kickoff breaks down all the match-ups, including Coach Welch cuts, stories on Kyle Crandall, Chris Gray and the East Region Update.

noon--All the live action

Immediatly Following the game--Call in to Bombers Post-game, 607-274-3217...give Mike Hibbard and Josh Canu your thoughts on the game as they break down the game.

here is the link to the site (NOTE: There is two ways to listen to the game on our site.  The first and most common method is to click the listen live button right on our site.  The Second, is a feature we have added so that everyone is able to tune in without the system every overfilling.  You can get to this option by clicking the football box on the top right portion of the screen, that will take you to Stretch Internet, where you hit listen, and you will be all set for the broadcast)

WICB- http://wicb.org/

VIC -http://vicradio.org/ (will also have the call)

Hope to see everyone at Butterfield tomorrow for what is sure to be a cold, cold game...

Enjoy the broadcast!

Sincerely,
Lee
WICB Sports Director

It's unfortunate that there will be no TV feed for this weekend's IC/Curry playoff game. I was hoping to hook it up to the flat-screen. I'm guessing that no TV is the result of one, both or a combination of a) students didn't want to stick around the extra day before Thanksgiving Break started today, and/or b) they figured there would be a Cortaca 2.0 next weekend and they would rather come back early and broadcast that game.

Disclaimer: This is not a knock on ICTV or any of the coverage by the Ithaca student media. I think Ithaca is among the best D3 schools, if not the best, at the job their student media does covering the college's sports. Where else would you hear women's soccer games or field hockey games covered on the radio?

I heard that the students were actually ready and willing, but the administration blocked it up somehow. Oh well.

Ithaca fans, you know what you must do now. It is the honorable way.

No excuses, statistical domination by Curry:

Total Yards: Curry (440), Ithaca (235)

Passing: Curry (268), Ithaca (102)

Rushing: Curry (172), Ithaca (133)

First Downs: Curry (20), Ithaca (14)

3rd Down Conversions: Curry (8/15), Ithaca (6/16)

Welch punted TWICE in the 4th qtr from the Curry 30 yd line. The resulting drive starts for Curry was the 20 yd line and 17 yd line. Why are you playing field position right there? Throw it up near the end zone, who cares if it gets picked, it's better than a punt. That's not even conservative, that's Rush Limbaugh conservative right there.

In the words of Herm Edwards, "you play...to WIN...the GAME." Mike Welch doesn't.
