Furthermore, i am a virgin.  Which gives me that much more credence to speak on the subject.  I'm saving myself for marriage.

. . . There are certain aspects to your post that ring true.  SJF has been a staple of the E8 and has gone the furthest in the playoffs of all the teams recently. . .

As for the playoffs, yes SJF has made it the furthest as of late.  However, what does that really mean?  When you go to the third round of the playoffs, that tells me that you won two games against teams that you should beat.  Congrats.  So what?  I would say the same thing to Ithaca if they were in your shoes.  .  Guess i'm more all or nothing. . ..

Likewise, there are certain aspects of your post I can agree with, and than others, um just no.

SJF has gone furthest in the playoffs lately??  -- try like, we're the only ones who have manged to get a W in two years, both the real ones, and the ECACs.

I'm with you on this point -- it doesn't matter until some team in the East can beat MUC.

an AU fan saying deep runs into the NCAAs isn't really a big deal is kinda like a virgin saying sex is overrated...

I guess what i'm saying is, put ic in your shoes this year.  IC is fisher.  Do their fans get on here and say stuff like that?   No.

Ms. Sarge,

Do IC fans say things like that? - perhaps not, they just talk all sorts of smack and then disappear when the unthinkable happens.

Not all of us are about just showing up and golf clapping - part of sports is to care about the result.

A poor showing by the conference in the post season, is a poor reflection on the teams in it.

chris7sarge

Wow.  I'm not even sure where to start here.

Umm... golf clapping... not me.

You're talking about getting a win in the ECAC's this year like you should get patted on the back.  Sorry.  You beat husson.  AU lost to RPI.  Lose to RPI by 3 versus beating HUSSON by 10?  I'd think the 3 point loss is better.  Sometimes when you win it's still a loss.

Great Ms. drop.  Caught me off guard.

fisheralum91

booby is right guys--
sjf fans purpose was to rile you up- and he succeeded.
wow
talk about hair trigger

husson wasnt a horrible team-and fisher wasnt a great team-
they escaped with a win with a completely different team on that field that one that would have been on it for an ncaa game

I know we're not supposed to respond the the troll, but this statement is factually inaccurate.  If you're going to count ECAC wins as playoff wins, then Fisher is not the only E8 team to get a playoff win the last two years.  Unless of course I dreamed that 49-14 monkey-stomp of Rochester last year.  If you're gonna get all high and mighty about winning a game in what is really the East's consolation playoffs, at least be factually accurate.

On trying to dismiss a win over Husson - I may be wrong on this, but not sure - I believe their only losses came to D2 schools.

SJF fan and Fish Fan are morons... lets ignore them... clearly the E8 was down this year...

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

I'm not going to disappear.  I didn't see the game, obviously, but I am not ready to just chalk it up to overlooking Curry.  From what I heard on the radio, their QB is just a good player and they were better Saterday.

A man who names himself after a cartoon character is calling others morons --

Great example for interacting with someone - you don't agree with them, so let's call them names.

With the E8 be "up" next year?  Wick without Boltus.  But Alfred has a great QB coming back, and SJF has a handful coming back as well. . .

We'll see how good the teams can reload.

Pep ain't going anywhere because his Saxons put up a good fight and came up a fumble recovery short of victory on Saterday. And Pep knows that all the level-headed highly-respected Bomber posters will always be around.

Heck, Pep appreciates what these boards have done to help Pep connect with fans of other teams. It was a real pleasure this past Saterday to chat with Senor Red Tackle and be part of his pops' return to RPI after many years. And, while RT's Pops was warmed by a Rensselaer football jacket, closest to his heart was an Alfred University sweatshirt, which he proudly displayed among RPI fans when AU scored. And, Pops sat with the AU Pep Band for the second half. For those who may not know, RT's Pops was a member of AU's back-to-back unbeaten teams of 1955 and 1956.

Pep believes these boards are a great venue to build the relationships that espouse the D3 football mystique. Unfortunately, there are some who haven't learned the art of supporting one's team while being respectful and considerate of others who are equally passionate for their teams. It's their loss.

If we can support our teams while exhibiting respect for others, we're all winners...."do unto others as you would have them do unto you," the Golden Rule. "As ye sow, so shall ye reap."

On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!
