Does 'Gro get responses like:

1) DIII its not much better than high school, right?

2) Only players that suck play DIII

JT gets responses like that, especially when he says his team is ranked No. 3.

USC?
No.
Rowan.

WTF is a Rowan?

JT explains and usually gets response 1 or 2 from Big Time College Football Moron.

The Rev experiences the same phenomenon.

Here in Phoenix, if it's not Sun Devils football (ASU) it does not exist.

Then mix this with the fact that these rubes don't know jack about historic Northeastern schools (they think a house built in 1990 is old!) and The Rev finds himself wanting to throw down.

The Rev is a snob.  I take pride in the fact that schools like Hobart, RPI and Union are closing in on 200 years, that we have been playing football together for over 100 years, and that D-III schools don't offer scholarships for sports.  that is, we are academically credible, even in I do think Transgendered hispanola-judaic afro-lesbian Studies majors are bulls^^t.

It's amazing to me that most people, after all this time, have yet to figure out that the difference between D-I and D-III is primarily about scholarship funding; ability is secondary being an effect of the subjective theory of value (i.e. a kid with an IQ lower than his 40 yd dash time is a good investment).  Granted D-I athletes often (not always) are better athletes, but that is very sport-dependent.  Back in the day Hobart as a D-III school tangled respectably with D-I schools.  Now that Hobart lax is D-I, we are not doing so well.  This is because we must abide by D-III scholarship rules, meaning that a kid who plays for Hobart plays D-I level Lax for a D-III pricetag.  Nuts for him.

Anyway, here are too many comments about Hobart that the Rev hears and tries to ignore.

Hobart...like the kitchen equipment?

Hobart?  ...I have a Hobart generator.  Is it the same town?

Hobart?  Hobart, Indiana?

Hobart?  What kind of name is that; some cheap knock-off of Harvard?

Hobart...can't be that famous [or good]; I've never heard of it.

Hobart...Where mah ho, Bart?  Ha ha ha!!!

Oh yeah, I am surrounded by geniuses.

Huh? What happened? Ya know, I've been so busy reading all this football stuff that I wasn't paying any attention to baseball.
Well I'm sure someone over here can fill us in.

Iget the same thing when I tell them I went to Lycoming - usually they ask if they make aircraft engines or some such garbage.

Then I tell them that the school has bee around since 1812 - clearly not Harvard status but it beats the crap out of many of our sovereign states and not just those west of the Mississippi.

Stupid is as stupid does - run Forrest, run.

KS just received an offer letter for a job in Livingston NJ.  KS is taking job, it is a good offer and offers excellent potential for professional growth and they will reimburse tuition for any courses that are job related.  Plus they offered KS flex-time.  KS is happy, +K for everyone, except for TDT's -K.  Thanks to LLPP members for their help and suggestions, and thanks to JT for the link (won't post link here, don't want Guru to lose advertising revenue).

Congrats and +k! The long wait has finally paid off!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Don't know if these have been posted, KS is too lazy to go back and look.  Here is this weeks College Cheerleaders

What KS didn't know until he read yesterdays mail early this morning is the fact that on Monday morning before leaving for the first day of work, KS can file his last Unemployment claim.  KS is going back to work just as UE runs out, KS had great timing this time around.

Finsleft, KR and TDT's school is now celebrating our "sesquicentennial". That's the fancy name for 150, I guess. At least it's a name like St. John's so most people know it's a school. But meeting people from back east think I went to school in NY.

In my 'serious' fantasy football league, there are like 2 or 3 kids that I don't know, and 1 of the kids that I DO know is friends with them.  He's a shade ball as it is, and always does shady things, and last week, prior to the games a shady trade went down.  I want to get some feedback from you guys.  I basically lost my sh!t on him, pretyt much telling him he is the scum of the earth, because I honestly believe they are cheating together to try and get the best 1 team and splti the money.  Fate would have it that they are BOTH 0-2.

So prior to last Sunday, the shady kid traded Eli Manning and Julius Jones, to some shmuck with an already terrible team for Carson Palmer and Cadillac Williams.

You can throw this years stats thus far out the window, especially since when the trade happened only 1 week had passed.  The kicker, in my opinion, to all of this, is the kid who traded Williams and Palmer, was the #10 draft pick in our draft, meaning he had picks 10 AND 11.  He picked Cadillac Williams at 10, and Carson Palmer at 11.  Julius Jones went in the 3rd round, and Eli Manning went in the 6th round.

Any of you fantasy guru's want to give me your opinions?  Am I right to be suspicious?  Am I right to have told him I hope his life sucks and he is the scum of the earth?

LD-

I think you handled it wrong.  You need to either bring it up to the commissioner or the group as it being a "shady trade".
That way, there is no way those 2 will try it again.

Next time, don't get into a league where the integrity of others jeopardizes the money in your pocket.

just my 2 cents.

PBR...

Happy Equinox LLPP'rs .....what ever the hell that is.... ;)
