LLPP's own redtackle teaming up with Pat Coleman to call the Williams-Trin CT game... they are a better duo than what's happening at WRPI (kurt... maybe you should get RT to do the RPI games)

Thanks 'Gro....RT's been hinting at offering his services to WRPI for years. RT used to do RPI hockey games w/ Kurt back in the day....RT thinks he offended Kurt somehow in the mid 90s (non-radio related) so RT has been forced to go freelance.

Working with the Guru was a blast....the only thing that could've made the experience any better would've been doing an RPI/Union game w/ the Guru......(hint, hint)

This would certainly affect the number of car bombs consumed prior to Shoozapaooza!!!!  Don't do it RT!!!!!!!!

ZT believes that the LL is a combination of parity and underachievement by Union, RPI and Hobart.  There's a big mental aspect to this great game as you all know, and sometimes, the expectations of the players and others to be even better than the year before, add pressure to positions like QB. When a QB plays great as a freshman or sophomore, the expectations on that QB aren't that high.  But when a QB is a junior and senior we all expect much more improvement.  ZT believes that QB's put so much pressure on themselves to be better than the year before, they begin to think THEY have to win all the games themselves and start making bad mistakes they didn't even make when they were semi rookies.

ZT believes that other LL teams are playing better defensively this year and key players staying healthy will be a big part of it all come November...One person injured shouldn't doom a team, however, even in the NFL one player can make a difference.  Clinton Portis coming back from being injured just saved Mark Brunell's job...Two weeks of a running game and Brunell went from looking washed up to breaking records.  Plus, the skins stopped making stupid mistakes regarding penalties and turnovers.  Right now, Union, RPI and Hobart ALL seem to be a little too undisciplined or maybe too lax as they are all making mistakes more than they should be.  ZT believes these mistakes will not continue much longer and each team will consistently improve.

The prodigal son returns...

so does RT pencil in a "U89 sighting" on his calendar for 11/11??

From this day forth, all RT will post are quotes from other LLPPers bowing at the shrine that is

RT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS - The B Westbrook deal was shiiiiiiiiiiiiii........no worries for TGP.  TGP was starting the Eagles D (aka Favre's primary receivers for tonight's contest.

Apple Jack -

I couldn't agree with you more.  Fortunately, the slug I was up against had both Driver and Jennings going (can you say, Homer?) and Rico still pulls out a W.

For those of you wondering why play a guy listed as questionable...    he was listed as questionable last week so Rico sat him and he proceeds to score 3 frickin' TD's.  Is there no truth to the weekly injury report?

Who would win in a best of 3 sumo match between

Bill "orangutang boobs" Parcells

and

Charlie "low carb bleu cheese can't be bad for you" Weiss

Rico 21

Charlie gets my vote...   of course, I'd vote against basically anything having to do with the Cowboys.

RT is sitting here watching the Yanks/Tigers out of boredoom (hoping Detroit wins) and was sniffing around the rest of D3 website. RT happened to see the Hobart/WPI score of 19-14 'Bart. Is it RT or does Hobart happen to be living on the edge in some of these games? Has 'Bart dominated anyone? RT hasn't really paid attention except for the RPI game....where RPI killed themselves rather that Hobart owning the game.

RT has officially declared Hobart the "Luckiest Top 20 team in Div.III". The wheels will come off is RT's prediction. However, RT is not sure what scenario he'd prefer....a Union victory over Hobart and hope it plays out like last year (RPI/Union game decides the crown) or have Hobart and RPI win out? Does anyone know what the tie break scenario is shaping up like this year? RT almost is leaning toward Hobart winning out and wanting RPI to run the table also because RT is convinced a 1-loss LL team gets a bid if Hobart is undefeated...unless, of course, Union defeating Hobart is more advantageous to RPI in a tie break. The reason RT was thinking an undefeated Hobart may be a better scenario is that if there's no undefeated team in the LL and RPI doesn't own the tie breaker, there won't be a 2nd team out of the LL to go to the NCAAs.

Guru???
