Reg -- haha cocoa butter. Sign me up.

Frank -- I keed I keed. The "secluded union kid" stereotype is about as useful as the "all RPI kids are dorks" one. Fact of the matter is only 65% of RPI students are dorks, with the remaining 35% comprised of geeks, dweebs, losers, and freaks.

I do remember some union students working as tutors at Skin-neck-titty HS back in the day... but I don't think you'll see them volunteering at the boys and girls club on craig street anytime soon.

'Gro, speaking of the Boys & Girls Club in Shocktown brings up a scary memory.  Back when U89 & Garnet were at Union, the new gym building was under serious construction....freshman and sophmore years we worked out in a tiny square space next to the basketball court which was fenced in by chicken wire (no lie).  The chicken wire box had one squat rack and a universal set which took up about 80% of the area.  Junior year that area closed up all together.....for that year we received a 'discount' to join the YMCA on Union St....U89 thinks it was on Union St??  Needless to say, the doids were not happy with the Dutchmen invading that palace...some of the outfits worn by S-towns powerlifters at the 'Y' were priceless.  Senior year the new gym opened....U89 worked in the weight-room there in the workstudy program and was constantly shouting at the wine and cheese croud to "re-rack your f-ing weights...U89 is not your f-ing mother."  Good times.

Speaking of those hard times at Union back in the Stone Age....U89 should get a rebate from the school for playing under such adverse conditions!!!

Work Politics Update:

If the LLPP,Inc crew recalls, RT sought counsel in handling an issue with a egotistical, caniving, self-promoting woman he is forced to work with. RT explained how she always is maneuvering for her own benefit and she has the respect of some of the management in the company.

In the latest development, RT and his peer collaborate to provide sales coverage on an account that this woman is tied to. She loves RT's peer because she hates RT...even though RT is the stud of the operation and provides all the results. NW (nasty wench) sends a note to RT's boss, unbeknownst to RT, mightily singing the praises of RT's peer and what a great job he's doing...no mention of RT. RT's boss and RT are great friends so he told RT about the note to let me know she was up to her old tricks and that he knows the real deal.

So RT's sitting here hacked off over this tactic and wants to call NW to the carpet over it but has not for a variety of reasons. First, he doesn't want to compromise his boss for sharing this when she thought it was in confidence. Second, he doesn't want NW to think RT cares about her tactics...perhaps this is a plant by NW because she assumed RT's boss would share this w/ RT and she wanted to get a rise out of RT?? RT is trying not to act in haste....is RT making more of this than he should? Yes, she is singing the praises of the coworker but she absolutely knows RT's involvement and by going out of her way to single out 1 guy on a joint effort w/ no mention of the other, that is an indictment of RT (in RT's opinion).

RT needs the personnel dept of LLPP,Inc to weigh in....

RT, it might be too late but I have some advice.....

-Its Holloween.  Its perfectly acceptable (and legal) to come to work in nothing but a jock strap, tube socks and maybe an Extra small RPI football T-shirt.  Just wear that, go over to her desk, sit on it and tell her you want to go over some figures with her the rest of the day.....

RT, will the small RPI football T-shirt have a car-bomb stain on the front ala Shoozapalooza I??

Quick query out to LD......

When will you be posting the Shoozapalooza II sign in sheet this year??

Where is everyone staying for said event....So far Reg has stayed in the Red Roof Inn (near the highway) and the Rensselaer Inn (the one right down the road from RPI) and BOTH hotels had much to be desired.  Hotels.com has all the hotels in the areas listed as 3/5 stars or below.....

Reg feels like a total snob for asking, but there is no way that Reg and MR want to stay in a place that was remodeled before we were born and smells like the stuff they used to put on barf back in grade school.

Any suggestions?.....I'm thinking over near the mall

Regulator

PS- the odds that LD11 ends up coming to SP2k6 are 3/5.  There is NO WAY he is going to pass this opportunity up!

Well reg... what do you want to get into saturday night after the game?  Troy or Albany action??

personally gro was thinking about some kind of all out food banger in Troy after the game (is there an after party? haven't received any emails!!) to get the BAC level down to "slightly over the legal limit". Then maybe a powernap, shower, and hit up albany. Fast forward to 6am my pants are missing, I'm wearing the Ewing jersey again, and I'm in some Japanese family's living room.

EDIT

Or we could stay in troy all night and get sh!tty. Steal a scarecrow off someone's lawn, get caught by public safety, get brought into PS-HQ, then run out the front door when they go in the back to get paperwork.... oh wait that was gro and the all american back in Shoes '99.

'gro

U89... the YMCA is on state street, near the bus station and Shocktown county comunity college (SCCC aka S mad C's aka second chance CC) so of course you are going to be surrounded by the finest doids.

Gro,

I am seriously thinking that MR isn't going to be able to hang all night.  With that being said...I don't mind heading out with the boys....only problem is where.?.?

On one hand I am feeling troy....maybe TP&B or the Ruck (which was fun last year) i dont know about you, but I never have fun in Smallbany when I go there, plus I will probably on the verge of puking hot wings and ML's all over everyone.

Let's see if we can find something fun to do on Friday, so if I pass out Saturday night, i wont feel so bad.

Holla at me in t-43 mins.

union89

'Gro, U89 needs SouthEast Jerome to be healthy this week in his $$ league...U89 has Portis, Steven Jackson, Chet Taylor and filling in for bye's Marion Barber....12 team league where we start 3 rb's......Mr. Barber has been performing very well as of late and is becoming a tough sit....the qb position is killin' U89...Warner, Leinart, Plumber & Cutler are not getting it done....

you've got a point reg, I hear that Smallbany is all martini bars and pirates of the carribean bullsh!t nowadays.... and you know we kick it old school.  I guess gro can do the family thing Sunday and Monday (flying back monday night, already expecting a weather delay).  There's a small chance papaGro could go to the game, odd of papagro doing a car bomb are slim.

Gro has recently put on a 10lb coating of insulation to protect himself from the harsh upstate weather. Gro plans on gaining another 5-8 pounds in shoesapalooza weekend.

AJ... T-shirts?? Any slogans?? I'm drawing a blank here, PM me on details.

Regulator

Gro,

Whats with all the SH bombs??

So old school it is.  I may wear a bandana around my face to protect me from the late night people hanging off my shoulder, spraying me with a 50/50 mix of bud heavys and saliva.

Dont you hate the drunk guy that needs to get in your grill and proceed to tell you a 45 min story about some party where he stole a trophy or something, while he is spraying your face down like he has a can full of aqua net in his mouth?
