Very excited about the game tonight.  I just took Louisville at even points.  I don't think West Virginia is a #3, but I think Louisville is an all around badass.  Will be interesting to see what they can do vs. West VA's offense.

'gro

wow I just read what mr. rome is dropping off and he might be more stupid and annoying then the real Jim Rome.  If he has any connections to the union program I hope they beat him with a sack full of oranges.

can't wait for another controversial call at the boz this weekend.

I am going with the Cardinals in a slight upset over the Mountaineers at Papa John's Stadium.  How can you not root for a team who plays their home games at a field named after a pizza joint?

And across the street from a horseracing Mecca...

TGP is also sure that Frank still has the pictures.

::)

I'm guessing the post in question was taken down...anyone have a synopsis of it?

Look at U89's post above.

Considering this version of LLPP started back on Aug 2005, all TGP can recall is several posts with the pic of Tom A at (or near) the goal-line - debating on whether or not the call was a good one.

PBR...

pbr is stopping on the way home from work tonight to pick up a cold case of 16 oz. pbr cans and a jumbo size bag of doritos for the lou-ville vs. deliverance game should be a  barn burner....

union89

U89 is on Louisville tonight as well.....kind of scary that all off LLPP seems to be on the Cardinals while the rest of the world is on the Mountaineers.  65 % of the national cash is on WV.....U89 can't figure out what the other % is on the 'ville...must be the ecomonics education at Union.

Louisville D is pretty stout against the run averaging about 74 ypg...they haven't played a rushing O like WV, but if the 'neers get down, they have not shown that they can throw the ball.  WV's D is also strong on the ground, but can be thrown upon....U89 is hoping for a strong game from Brohm......T minus 3 hours...

Update on the weather in Geneva, Snow Flurries are coming down as I type this. Forecast for Saturday will be a bit crisp with high only 42 and partly cloudy skies, winds on the increase during the day. Wear the long underwear!
And for added bonus, head to the Cooler for Hobart and Manhattenville Hockey after the Football game!
And this could be the last year of The Cooler as we know it.

Just as a refresher to the older LLPP members.....remember the last couple of years, the only schools represented here were Union and RPI....then there was that one crazy dude from WPI who was moving to Japan or something.  This year, we get introduced to some Hobart chatter from 'da Rev, TGP and IPSA....welcome to the party boys.

Is U89 the only one waiting in anticipation for the goal-line play from 2 years ago in Geneva to open up again??  I'll start it!!!  Frank, don't you think that the Union RB crossed the vertical plane of the goal-line on that play??  Got any pictures??

Has anyone read "Immediate Thoughts of Week 9??"  There is a tool in there named jim_rome, claiming to be a Union fan stirring the pot with negative shizznit about Hobart & Coach Cragg....He deserves a heart punch from Stan "The Man" Staziack or a figure 4 leg lock from Greg "The Hammer" Valentine!!

TGP was on the boards back in 04 and remembers said discussion (past monikers have ranged from J2theB, LaBart, etc - it took TGP a while to embrace his inner TGP-ness.  Besides, us west coasters like to change our identities on a semi-regular basis.  Why else could there be so many plastic surgeons etc out here?

BTW LLPPers, RT and the RPI/Union crew may recall that it was this Bart fan who won the inaugural - and so far as TGP can tell ONLY - LL pick em contest back in 2004 due to calling the Bart win (pretty much everyone went with the U.  TGP believes RT may still in fact be in possession of the spreadsheet that tallied the picks??!?!).

TGP/Labart responded to "Jim Rome."  He clearly has beef with Coach Cragg.  TGP says, "Whateves" and please add a Macho Man Flying Elbow Smash (off the top rope) and a superplex to said "Romey".

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

TGP will now go make out with Miss Elizabeth.

RT will try to locate said picks post haste. RT thinks he even has the t shirt he promised to the winner...

Stay tuned for "RT's 5 Star Plays" for this Saturday's Breeder's Cup. From the war-room at the RT Compound in Saratoga Springs, the premier thoroughbread destination in the world, RT will spend Friday handicapping this 9 race card. For those unfamiliar w/ equine racing, the Breeder's Cup is the super bowl of horse racing.

For one day only, RT will open up his professional handicapping selections to his colleagues at LLPP,Inc for you to use at your local OTB or online account. 2006 was a very successful year for "RT Handicapping, Inc", with RT showing a very healthy net profit over the course of the year on such legendary tracks as Saratoga, Belmont, Santa Anita, Churchill Downs, Acqueduct, and Pilmico (to name a few).  RT will be doing in depth analysis on the day's entries, including a thorough examination of current Beyer ratings, historical post to finish results, recent workouts, jockey & trainer combo's, and prior intra-race matchups...to name a few.

RT will eliminate your guesswork and give you his crystal ball plays of the day, including exotics, at NO CHARGE. That's right, RT is going to put together Breeder's Cup playing strategies for those of you who may want to try to play with $50 or $100  that will be the most educated betting strategies available for this big day.

Rolevio has the Mountaineers tonight, Rolevio was a believer of the Cardinal last year and they burned him.

'gro

Gro is siding with the mountainegro's tonight.  The spread option is a thing of beauty. Gro is completely out of adult beverages in his home.

RT, is prado going to be riding one of the horses this weekend? he's good. I mean really good.

Regulator

RT-
If you need someone to back you on some bets let Reg know.  Wheeling Trifectas and exactas always add up if you lose, but pay big when you win.

Plus, since Reg was brought up on a race track (vernon downs to be exact) he typically knows the ins an outs of the track.

You ready to partner up or what?
