Maybe Union89 is crazy.....but stating that the loss to cortland as a rivalry game is an excuse in itself.

Have you ithica fans heard one RPI or Hobart fan say, "Ya, we lost to Union....but that's a big rivalry game."

Now you can all call Union89 crazy...

We may have said that records don't matter because of the rivalry meaning the intensity is way up there...but ZA doesn't recall anyone saying we lost to RPI two years ago BECAUSE it was a rivalry...That's a weird one...Yeah, we lost because it was a rivalry...NO, we lost because we got beat! Uh, other team had more points...UH, ZA thinks when the other team has more points, they win!!!

Your place of employment is loaded with evil doers, both American and foreign born.  JT knows having spent time working there.  The American managers spent all day performing CYA and sucking up to the fuzzy little foreigners (lunchroom smoking bastards).  If JT wasn't hauling in major consulting cash, making the hell JT was experiencing sorta worth it, he might have shot someone.

No longer lunchroom smoking bastards, they are now building entrance smoking bastards, although Knightstalker approves of many of the foreign women.  The biggest evil-doer must be the JWA.

Missing my point completely. Not saying we lost BECAUSE it was a rivalry game. I'm just saying those types of games tend to be more competitive and can go either way and the results aren't always indicative of who the better team is. Cortland won. No excuses, like I've said in other posts. They killed us in the 1st half, we returned the favor in the 2nd...and they got it done in OT. End of story.

No excuses will be necessary, except from the LL posters when they're explaining why they had a  losing record on Saturday to such an "inferior" conference. "Um, well, I guess we weren't as good as we, um, thought we were" will be coming from these boards a lot.

No worries, we got what we all wanted. The LL champ vs E8 champ and Fisher vs RPI. The results on the field will settle things.

RPI finished 3rd in the LL.......st. john fisher 2nd in the E8.  RPI win's, that makes a bigger statement for the.............MIGHTY LIBERTY LEAGUE.

Hey Go bombers....First of all, ZA and most others don't think the E-8 is "inferior"...Most expect a tight game....It's D-3 football for cryin out loud....Certain leagues might have consistently stronger programs from their top one or two teams, but from the looks of things, each league has their share of teams that are so-so!!!

You guys started bragging about tougher schedules, and tougher offenses, etc...

Don't see where anyone has bragging rights as to playing THE toughest schedule....Don't think anyone called the E-8 a "sham" as was stated recently about the LL....To play THE toughest schedule a team from the E-8 would have to play almost every game but two or three, outside their conference...Same for any league...

Fantasy schedule for Union to achieve THE toughest schedule to prove to the E-8 we're for real....

Game 1- RPI, Game 2-Hobart, Game 3-Cortland, Game 4-SJF, Game 5-ITHICA, Game 6-Delaware Valley, Game 7-Mount Union, Game 9-Linfield, Game 10, New England Patriots, Game 11-Pitssburgh Steelers...

Geesh...enough with the schedule...It's impossible to have every team in your league up to the calibre of the top two or three....Be careful of that yellow cake!
