Alright the merchant of dirt aka don juan of dipping sauces is throwing his hat in the ring- time to put the typos aside and talk turkey on the eve of the 104th Big Shoe Dance game...

After heading to Geneva for Union's real rivalry game of the year last saturday, one thing became quite clear to the sultan of sauces: Union, finally back to full health, is on a different level than the rest of the Liberty League. The defense has stepped it up and returned to vintage union football: dominant run defense and big plays in the secondary. The offense may be one of the most explosive in the nation- All Anthony Marotti does is win ball games, plain and simple. With Angilleta and Twichell back to 100% he has the school's #1 and #2 single season receiving yardage record holders, and arguably the nation's best receiving duo, at his disposal. And since you engineers like numbers and not words, don't try to pronounce the name, just remember #1- as in the #1 running back in the nation and the # that will have 200+ rushing yards early in the 4th quarter tomorrow.

Score- Union 56-20

I love these zero-post posters.  Ya know, stop this "lighting the fire" reverse psychology bullshyt.

APB issued on Keith McMillan.

Surely Mr. McMillan must have been kidnapped by someone on the E8 board and forced to ignore the Union-RPI rivalry in his column (Around the Nation) as mentioned by yours truly yesterday and expounded upon by various posters on this board.

Keith, if you escape, please feel free to post your "Mia Culpa" on this board.  The LL posters will, I am sure, accept your apology with the dignity and the understated maturity that has come to symbolize LLPP.

He already posted on this board last night, tlm. Perhaps you should read your dignified and understatedly marture board before calling someone out.

Pat...RT didn't hear back from you. No love for RT??

Worst concert Rolevio has ever been to.  Rolevio enjoyed this random Chinese band he saw as an opening act a few months back 100 times more than the Violent Femmes.

This is ERRONEOUS!  WTFF was psyched to go.  She's as dissapointed as me.  I have class all day Saturday and a midterm on that subject matter on Monday.  Unfortunately LD11 got himself involved in these 'responsibilities'.

Speaking of responsibilities, I just got off the golf course.  Amazing place to play.  Amazing day.  Got a mean sunburn.  Still not the same as shoozapalooza.  :-(

LLPP Shoeapalozza Attendees:

Have a great time.  TGP will be doing car bombs in your honor later that evening at the USC-Oregon game.

Re: Bart-Rocho:

It's the final week of the regular season and our Bart Statesmen have to don their bee-keeper outfits to avoid being stung by the red hot Rocho Sucka Beez!

Bart will have to play hard to avoid being Louisville to Rocho's Rutgers (aka trying to have a great year after decades of sucking).  On the line for Hobart?  Basically, their 5th invitation to the NCAA playoffs in the last 7 years.  A loss would most certainly knock Hobart out of NCAA contention and send them to an ECAC bowl game.

Yet again, it's another azz bag weather forecast in Geneva for Game Day:  Yep, it'll be cold and raining = 80% chance of precipitation with a high of 55 and low of 36.

Hopefully Hobart's Sr QB Shawn Mizro will be good at throwing wet balls all afternoon against Rochester's suspect passing defense - currently LAST in the LL giving up 221 yds/game and almost 20 TDs on the year - while avoiding turnovers - Rocho is first in the LL with a +12 turnover margin (Bart is 3rd with +5 after last weekend's Union debacle).  If Hobart offensive line actually makes a few blocks this week vs. having an "open door" policy to allowing defensive linemen into the Hobart backfield, we might have a shot at that NCAA berth.

Keys to the game:

1.  Send Mizro out on a good note.  Last week he set all time yardage record.  It's his final game at the Boz against a crappy pass D.
2.  Better line play.  Let's face it, our O-Line sucked last week and has played below expectations all season.  Give Mizro time to shine.
3.  No turnovers.  Rocho can create turnovers, and the bad weather will only help.  Have to have our hands on the rock and not make mistakes.

That's all TGP's got.  Happy V-Day weekend.  Props to the Vets.

Tomorrow will be the 74th consecutive Union Football game I've attended since 1999.  Nobody has ever touched my Adam's Apple during that time.  That won't be changing tomorrow.  Thanks, though.
