Whatever happens, there is now a semi-good chance that Hobart may not get in....

I will predface this by saying that I am a Fisher fan

so I decided to put all 9 one loss teams together and see who they lost too and that teams record so here it goes

Wheaton(18) L-Augustana (7-3),
Capital(5) L-Mount Union (10-0),
Cortland(15) L-Rowan (6-2),
Hobart(22) L-Union(7-2)
, Franklin(NR) L Mt St. Joseph (9-1),
UW-La Crosse( L-UW Whitewater(10-0),
Fisher(17) L-Springfield (9-1),
St. John's(3) L-Bethel (9-1),
Hardin-Simmons(7) L-Mary Hardin(8-2)

With this I would hve to say that Hobart and Franklin might be the last teams out, but I think Wheaton needs to worry too

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

The Rev is pretty stoked by today's outcome in Geneva.
Moderately surprised by the U-RPI game result, but happy for this reason:
As stated last week, I like tight games.  It looks like RPI and Union really gave each other the business.
If both teams left everything they had on the field, then both teams have a lot to be proud of.

It also makes me happy to know that Hobart beat RPI who beat Union who beat Hobart who beat Rochester who beat RPI, and so on...
meaning that it shows how well-balanced the LL is.  We have real competition.  The Rev likes real competition, believes it is good for sportsmanship, pride and integrity.

Congratualtions to all LL teams for tough games that made for a well-fought season.

P.S.  The Rev would like to read F. Rossi, esq.'s analysis on what may happen on the road to the Stagg Bowl.

Hi Dude,

Imagine being a normal person, and attending there. UNION 82 is/was such a person. Its for reasons as stated above by LD, that UNION 82 has no regrets having introduced apple cider to one of UNION 82's "friends" from Long Island.

UNION 82's "friend" had never had apple cider before. UNION 82 made sure that the Island Boy had about a quart and a half. Said Island Boy spent a day and a half on the toilet.

Congratulations to RPI and other fans of wooden shoes.

Rolevio had the fun task of teaching his frosh roommate how to make his bed the first night at Union.  Though that isn't as bad as the time he saw 3 girls call the trolley to take them from Psi U to Chi Psi.  (For those unaware, the buildings can't be more than 100' apart, it's about 6 parking spaces and a few bushes and that's it.)

Given the options for next week, Rolevio is hoping for another match up with Springfield.

Rolevio wants to know if Frank ended up dancing on the 50 yard line.

I'm more worried about who is going to make it to the road in the first place.  I really have a thought that Hobart might be left out since we can account for seven East teams (Wilkes (MAC - A), Springfield (E8 - A), Rowan (NJAC - A), Curry (NEFC - A), Union (LL - A), SJF (E8 - C), Cortland (NJAC - C).  There also appears to be potentional for nine teams to qualify from the South.  This would force a team to ship from the South to (most likely) the East, filling the eighth East slot.

I hope I'm wrong.  Hobart deserves a trip.

Someone on one of the east boards also had a good reasoning that if an East team gets cut it may be Cortland first, either way it's going to suck for the 2 1-loss teams that do not make it in.

Good luck to Hobart tomorrow for the selection process.  I'm thinking they're in...

Guys...UNBELIEVABLE day in the LL...great atmosphere & energy on the fields in Troy and Geneva and also on the board here. RT was in Troy at Shoozapallooza and it lived up to the hype in the lot and on the game field. RT got to see alot of ex-RPI greats as well as catching U89, Garnet, Reg, 'Gro and Mr. B Russ himself!! Also, RT worked with Frank da Tank on the pregame with a special appearance by BudCrew....only thing missing today was the Guru himself!! RPI went out and took care of business against the U. What a day!!! Why is RPI a 3 loss team in 2006?? Oh well......good luck to Onion in the playoffs and there definitely is some balance in our modest little conference in upstate NY. Time Warner would be hard pressed not to make this game an annual fixture on the TV schedule locally. And who are all these newbies sticking their heads in here today to post?? RT loves it!!!!

BTW...did anyone catch Frank and RT on the pregame today? If so, give us some feedback on how we sounded in the North Lot from the pregame. There were some technical difficulties at first but we got it nailed down. We only had about 40 min but it was alot of fun!!

Rolevio heard most of it, and thought all did a great job, particularly snatching all the old players.  Rolevio was a bit surprised that the Union radio broadcast seemed almost school neutral in the pregame show, but thinks it made for a better broadcast.  Only problem Rolevio had was he couldn't get the link for about 25 minutes or so.

Over on the general board someone computed out the updated QOWI, and Hobart is the highest 1 loss team in the nation, so I would have to think they are looking good for tomorrow.

I'm ready!  SJF, Rowan, Springfield; all potential matchups should be good games.

Thanks for the comments! Yes...it was designed to try to be somewhat neutral and capture the spirit of the shoes rivalry from both sides.
