Frank, in all seriousness, I don't think many of the IC guys have predicted monkeystomps. I predicted the Bombers would win by six points, a final certainly within the realm of possibility. Like I've said in other posts, I think either of these teams could beat the other by two touchdowns if the right things happen. However, this being the playoffs, I think it will end up being much closer than that.

As for the fans adding more stress, you can't let what's said on here bother you. Both teams' fans have said a lot of stupid things(myself included) that mean nothing come Noon on Saturday. Either way, due to this fact, we all know the amount of ish talked by the winning set of fans will be exponentially greater than the margin of the final score. Unfortunately, that's just the way things work in here. Last Sunday, we had Cortland fans saying they "owned South Hill" because they won in OT. If Union wins by a TD, everyone will be claiming LL superiority. If Ithaca wins, everyone is going to say the LL is once again overrated. Are either true? Probably not. Bottom line, stop letting fans get to you. If you're a Harvard Law grad, you shouldn't let such commoners get under  your skin.

Honestly, aside from assessments of the games we've played, there's been very little post-game bashing on here.  Maybe this is something that is big over on E8 (yes, I did a search for "Rossi" and learned I'm a hated man over there).  If Union wins by a touchdown, historically, Union fans have come back here and said, "It was a well-played game by both teams."  OK, maybe the 7-0 Coast Guard win was an exception to that, but you know what I mean.

But this is why your assertions have gotten under my skin this week...we've pretty much stopped the overdone BS on this board this season.  We've kinda set aside a lot of our differences, except when the big rivalry game became in focus, to support the LL in general.  

If ruffling feathers is what you're aiming to do here, then it's really not needed.  Thought-provoking debate (like JU's last night) has been plentiful here this year.  You haven't liked the taste of your own medicine I've given all week, so remember that.  I think everyone here would tell you that's out of character for me.

Frank, while I certainly admire your willingness to talk over the facts and such, you yourself have gone a bit overboard with the name calling.  Anyways, time to put that aside, and root on our teams, and watch a heck of a game.  I am certainly looking forward to it.  That is why I am getting up at 6am to get up there.

IC and the U have had some exciting games in the NCAAs in the past, let's hope this one lives up to the hype.

Gotta back up Dawg on that one.  It's a hole in the wall, but it's awesome.

Frank, believe it or not, if U beats Ithaca(something I won't concede until the game is over, but possible, nonetheless), I will root for the LL team(s) that remains. This isn't kissing up to the LL posters but my caste system of loyalty goes team-conference-area within region-region. That would mean, should IC be eliminated, I would have to start rooting for the other upstate teams; Union and possibly Hobart.

I hated Fisher basketball last year but when they made it to the tourney I was firmly entrenched on the flatbed of their bandwagon. Unfortunately, it crashed at about 90 mph in the Sweet 16 vs Potsdam, but that's another story. I hated Fisher basketball(and some of their posters) much more than I've disliked any team or posters in here...so I would definitely be hopping on the LL ship if that is, in fact, the outcome.

I'll be listening to your broadcast as I have heard enough Ithaca College student broadcasts for a couple lifetimes(not a knock on them). I want to see how a Haaaaaarrrrrrrrrrvard grad would call a game. Keep the 12-letter words to a minimum, though.

Ive never even seen d3hoops.com or sjf basketball, but I heard from a few guys that coached on some good teams that they were kind of a bunch of clowns who got smoked when they played good teams......just what I heard though.
