8.  As for Marotti v. Robertson, we shall see.  Until next week, we know only this: Hobart dared both Marotti and Robertson to beat them.  Only Marotti did  RT lost alot of respect for the Union Fan with this point...how on earth can you make this claim? Just because Hobart won in 3OTs?? Do you even know the stats from that game?? RT annoyed he has to go dig them up for you now but off the top of RT's head, he is pretty sure Robertson threw 5 TDs and had like 400 yds that game but will confirm. How on earth is that "not beating" the Hobart D by Robertson?

Quote

Umm, that is "not beating" Hobart in the sense that, Robertson's team did not win that game.  The Union Fan apologizes for use such a subtle metaphor.  Next time Union Fan will be sure to say "did not score more points than the other team and the end of the game so as to win the contest."

Also, let us not forget that RPI wouldn't have needed that spectacular comeback had RPI (and Robertson) not been totally inept in the firs half.  (Indeed, Union Fan recalls that the half time score would have been even worse had Robertson not been lucky enough to vastly overthrow his intended reciever and end up with Branche taking the tipped ball to the house.)

JT

Gifford-Bednarik hit... please that was the hit of a lifetime, put ol' hiney fancing Giff out for the year.  JT has not seen a hit like that during JT's football playing/watching career 1976-Pres.  JT dreamed of hitting a dude like that, but never got "the one".  Doubt that the "hit" on Saturday was in the top 10 if Bednarik is No. 1.

Quote7.  Union Fan recalls several folks mocking early statements that Marotti/Angelleti/Arcidiacano were the best QB/WR/RB in the LL or East.  He thinks this has got to be true from a statistical standpoint at the very least.

I'd like to disagree w/ you on this one, in terms of a "Trio" or "Big Three" the SJF "Big Three" trump the Union "Big Three".

(Coming into this past week)

Arcidiacono is a great RB and is having a great season w/ 1326 yds and 11td, however James Reile took over as a starter in week 5 and has rushed for over 800yds and 15 TD's since week 5.  Fellow RB Mark Robinson is coming off of a 2000yd season has 599yds and 7 TDs despite playing 4 1/2 games, if he didnt get injured he'd be leading the upstate region and probably the nation in rushing..

Marotti has thrown for 1785 yds 12 INT's and 15 TDs while having a 49.2 Completion %.  Nich Suchyna has completed 69.5 % of his passes and has thrown for 2034 yds and 23 TD's w/ only 4 INT's.  No comparison here.

Angiletta has caught 59 passes for 1004 yds and  4 TD's, while Noah Fehrenbach has caught 65 passes for 1070 yds and 14 TD's.  The receptions per game are similar and Angiletta has the edge in yardage by 7 yds a game, but Noah has caught 10 more TD's.  Thats a huge difference right there, he knows how to get into the endzone (he's also ran for a TD and thrown for a TD).

Classic...RT likes how this week is shaping up already. It's Sunday night and we're already into a Union fan backpedaling and playing the "I meant to say" game. RT never said RPI won the Hobart game...RPI was rightly defending his QB when U Fan makes it sound like Marotti was the only QB to step up to the challenge against Hobart...that was an absurd allegation and RT stands by his defense of Jimmy.

And, spin the 1st half anyway you wish but refrain from the wording "inept" offense...how would you describe the Hobart defense in the 2nd half of the RPI game? "stellar"? ...come on, quit while you're ahead. You'll see just how "inept" that offense is on Sat. when the defense gets to face the RPI spread with Branche, Bernardo, Robertson, McGowan, and co. It will be a great match up...that bunch, in RT's opinion, is a better offensive group than Hobart's.

Original,

Thanks for interjecting into the discussion...however, the "trio" refers to the Hobart/RPI/Union offensive "big guns". It's a LL only debate on that one...SJF doesn't apply. This is UNION/RPI week...not SJF/UNION/RPI week...tell the SJF offense to take the week off and go hang out at Nick Tahou's. We'll call them when we're ready to discuss.....

naturally...it's Union week. That is RT's defense....as it will be RT's defense for any and all transgressions committed this week.

Boss: "Did you close on the big deal?"
RT:     "Hell no, it's Union week"

Boss: "Did you do that report I asked?
RT    :  "Um....no...it's Union week"

Girlfriend:  "You clean out the shed?"
RT          :   "Yeah right, it's Union week"

Mother:   "You didnt send your father a birthday card or call??!!"
RT       :    "During Union week?? ...don't think so"

Are you Union kats joking with regulator?
Who the hell thinks Mizro is nasty?....and how can you even compare him to Cole?...Give regulator a break.   (Reg can qualify this by you thinking a freshman (marotti) who has more picks then a victoria secret thong show..."Looking Great out there")

Secondly, Zach...who is going to come on the board and bash Union beyond the normal "wine and cheese" jokes?  What are you talking about?

Back to The Union Fan-
Did you honestly read your post to your self?...and then force yourself to believe it?

This is the reason that Regulator hates some union posters.  You cats come on the board after lurking here all year, only after they are undefeated with one game to go and then drop posts like they're hot....[img]BANDWAGON[img]

Dawg, Great idea....you could have taken it to the next level if you splashed water on your pits and chest.
