I like to see teams play 10 games because it's what's allowed by Division III rules and schools should not short student-athletes the competition and lasting memories in college athletics.

bingo!! +k to the guru.

in the interest of doing work, actually earning my paycheck, and getting out of here early... gro is saying Happy Thanksgiving to all of PP (even you NJAC guys) now so Gro can dive into his to do list on his desk. Heading to south cackalacka approx 10min after my manager decides to leave.

[Despite Duke being a Methodist school, The Rev would choose Duke hands down.  Just as if The Rev were offered the chance for PENN or Penn State, The Rev would choose PENN.

It has everything to do with the fact that there has to be life after football.  It's great to hope for a pro slot for a few million a year, but with a business degree from Penn, one can make that money several times over throughout one's career as a currency trader or stock broker or some other Wall Street job that Penn grads pick up easier than the clap.
Rev,
I would choose PENN over Penn State, as well. However, sometimes the check book is the reality check for many students and their parents, if you don't get the Financial Aid and don't feel like having the equivalent of a mortgage when you graduate.

Gro,

WHat is in South Cackalacka?  Why don't you hop a flight to chi-town and hang out with the MR's?  Reg is here from Tues-Saturday.  What are the odds that he will flip out?

easy fro you to say when you aren't/ weren't good enough to be in that position... NNR believes less than 1% of college atheletes would choose a 1AA over a 1A... The reason... When you are dirty-nasty good... You sites are on the NFL
Anyone notice how none of the kids from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory were even a little bit cool... Where was the athlete who pile drives wonka into the chocolate river??? Coulda done sooo much more with that "classic"

Objection: Counselor is testifying!

Seriously, does my statement say anything involving Hobart's 10th game and the selection process? I like to see teams play 10 games because it's what's allowed by Division III rules and schools should not short student-athletes the competition and lasting memories in college athletics.

:-)

+K to the Guru.

To ZA, Guru is right on with this one....(sorry Frank old buddy)  10 games is the only way to go....ESPECIALLY in DIII where most players make their mark, have their best memories of all time, then march into the battlefield called the damn "work-place"....where they have to decipher which football skills they can apply to the work place without clothes-lining the dip-sh__t they might be working with.....

zachattack22

Also, ZA knows two dudes that played pro-football, but were not quite great enough to start, but were good enough that teams did not cut them.....One played at New England for some time (his knees are gone) and one got several tryouts with the giants after being noticed in a semi-pro league....(Actually, that guy didn't make the cut, but got invited back once to training camp) The beating he took in training camp has him walking around like he got run over by a steam roller.

REG: TDT wants to know what part of Chicago the MR's are staying.  Is REG in charge of schmoozing with the Mother-In-Law and cooking the BIRD and getting everyone to O'HARE?  If so, the odds of a meltdown are 3-2.  Don't forget to have a Giordano's pie.

Joliet, IL....most famous for Joe's Hot dogs and prison and Leprachaun sightings.

Reg is not really schmoozing everyone or MILMR or cooking the bird.

Tomorrow will be spend with no less than one beverage in a 16oz. glass bottle in hand at all times after 11am.  Said beverage will be at a minimum of 4.3% alcohol and will be gold in color.

Good luck to everyone in their travels.

Why wait for tomorrow reg, the night before TG is a time to go bananas. You get to sleep in and eat/drink all the next day. Go wild meng.
