Gro,

Sounds good.  I am sure I will need to vent by then.

So Reg held a new years bash at his house....what started out with one couple and 2 annoying kids ended up with a full out bash with 4 additional couples- including but not limited to a tremendious amount of beer consumption, Jager-bombs, kareoke, someone throwing up in the bathroom.  I think I lost track of time somewhere between the ball dropping and the beginning of kareoke which was around 1:20am.

Fal-la-la-la- LABAMBA!!!!!

Thanks for the invite.  I hope you had fun with your new friends with boats.

I meant to tell you guys...Our favorite news clip of 2006 has had a meteoric rise in popularity:

I was at the gym and watching "WebJunk's Top 100 of 2006" and our leprachun friends down south won the #2 position.  Of course, the entire gym thinks I'm weird now as I laughed my ass off at the closed captioning.  So, you guys and my gym now both have the same thoughts about me...

:-)

Actually lewdogg it was a mixed crowd not only were there boaters....a few doctors were in the mix as well.  It doesn't look you were "important enough" to make the list.
Hey at least I didnt put you on the "B List" for my wedding....don't you feel better now?

The Statue of Liberty on a college two-point conversion.  Great choice of play, even from the 3-yard line.  See, that's the right use of the two-point conversion -- when the other team can't respond, so it's do or die.  I was actually surprised they didn't go for the two after the final TD in regulation with seven seconds left.  BSU looked very winded, and the first play from scrimmage for Oklahoma may have proven that further (Peterson untouched for a TD).  Congrats BSU!

Theres no (Tuesday) morning quarterbacking going on with that opinion now is there Frank?

No...With Senor RT as my witness, I called for the 2-Pt Conversion before the TD in OT.  He thought I was nuts (accurate as always).  However, their gadgets were getting a little old in OT (the aborted throwback to the QB on the first play, and the third-down triple-double shift are two plays we forget that didn't really work).

They should add the 2-Pt Conversion from last night to the commercial where they digitally change historic sports moments (MJ hitting (missing) the shot vs. Utah, Jeter out-of-position making (missing) the throw to the plate, etc.).  Anyway, BCS money can buy a lotta potatoes in Idaho for BSU now - and perhaps some new front teeth for QB JZ.  I was more comfortable watching Dick Clark with his raspy, slurred speech usher in the New Year than with JZ's post-game interview.

gro had such a crazy time back in the 518 that he didn't post any stories... here's a good one that doesn't involve gro puking at the airport.

Cool or uncool?

my high school friend is married to this crazy "I'm smarter than you, I'm better than you, and I'm going to tell you why" eliteist chick. For example, when the 2 got married she kept her last name not for the women's rights thing but because and I quote, "I like my name why should I have to change it?". A lot of women keep their last names and it's not a big issue but if you ask her why she'll go on for hours about it and try to belittle you for even asking.

With that being said... they have a 4 year old daughter.  We are all together the weekend before xmas (sans daughter) and my friend casually asks the wife this:

Friend: So is your daughter ready for Santa Claus?
Crazy Bi-atch (CB): What makes you think she would believe in santa?
Friend: (pause) uh... she's 4 years old.
CB: We don't think it's fair to lie to her, so we told her there's no santa.

Cool or Uncool?

- You don't have to be such a bi-atch about everything. He asked about santa, just say "oh we don't do santa", she always has to belittle people like that.

- This poor girl is going to be in kindergarten next year and COMPLETELY ruin christmas for the rest of her class.

- What an elitist mentality.  I hope she ruins Christmas for the other kids in her class next year and the parents come over and key your cars.

Hmmm seems like like the closet smiters are at it again.  JT's been off of PP for most of the week and he's still getting popped.

and with RT's good friend, Hoboken Tony, as his witness, RT made the comment before the last Boise St play..."they should run the statue of liberty". RT was completely kidding and fell out of his chair when they ran it...

I'd ask him, but that would entail initiating communications with someone from New Jersey.  That would break my New Year's Resolution, and it's only January 2nd.

hmmmmm....maybe not, since you still won't be able to deliver anestetic gas or prescribe drugs to said inviter.

A little off topic, but who besides Reg cannot STAND professional "college kids" i.e. people that stay in college until they are 30 because they "want to get into _____, but you need a phd in _____ to get the job.  Dood, you are 30 and have spent 10 years in school, have a dual masters and a PHD for a job that pays sub triple figures?  Do you know how in debt you are?  Do you realize that you could have gotten a similar job 4 years ago and worked your way into the next job while the company paid the bill.  Fast forward 2 years after they took the job and hate it but need to go back to school to get some other specialized degree in something else that is still going to suck.

What is up with this?

Reg, that describes half of my high school crew that gro keeps in touch with. Masters, law school, master & law school... and my infamous friend (aka Tufts b!tch) in the 7 year MD/PhD program, he'll be done in 2013.  All those degree's between them and none of them can hit up a bar because they don't have any money. WTF??

We didn't pump our kids full of Santa Claus lies either. And two of them so far have not ruined it for the rest of their kindergarten classmates.

However, when we're asked about it, we don't cop an attitude either. :)

my beef is more with her delivery than her beliefs, but what parent would give up the major bargining chip that is Mr. Claus? It's like 6 weeks of discipline free of charge.  You know how many times mommaGro threatened to call santa?

MG: I'm calling him right now!!
Gro and Bro (pleading like being held at gunpoint): please!! no!!
MG: too late (starts dialing on the old school rotary phone)
B&G: NOOOOO!! I'm sooooory!!!
MG: Ok, better not happen again.

and there you have it, the other 42 weeks of the year mom would just grab the yardstick and go last samurai on our behinds. You can't run from the yardstick.
