JT also has his eye on Verizon.  Its good that Cablevision isn't the only game in town anymore.  Although JT would keep high speed internet via cable.  In JT's area it kicks Verizon's ass.

RE: Cablevision

Yea did everyone see the article in SI last week about James Dolan.  What a sleeze bag.  He should be one of Enginegro's favorite people  ::)  Competition is good and healthy.  Go figure, Comcast just bought out Time Warner in SW Florida...

JT: Thanks for that info.  I will look into it.  I am sure it would ruffle some feathers among the association but if by LAW they must allow the dish that would be sweet!!!  Reason I would want DirecTV now is that MLB just went EXCLUSIVE with DirecTV for its MLB Extra Innings Package (allowing for all the out of market games which is sweet being a HUGE baseball fan).

Good luck going over the heads of the HOA.....Reg thinks that is just aksing for trouble.
The only thing Reg hates worse than comcast is that stoopid ugly grey trailor trash dish that you have to put up to get directtv.  I mean they have been around for like 15 years now with the same dish....cant they make it a little more astetically pleasing or miniturize it at all?

'gro

james dolan can burn in hades... as long as he doesn't interfere there is light at the end of the tunnel for the knicks. Isiah is a decent coach, the players like him, and they should be able to get rid of a few overpriced veterans over the next 3 years and keep the focus on the younger players.

NEW WORLDS WORST JOB....BATTERY CHANGER FOR THIS...
Talking Urinal Cakes Offer Drinking And Driving Advice
DWI Message Played During Men's Last Pit Stop Before Driving

SANTA FE -- New Mexico has taken its fight against drunken driving to men's restrooms around the state.

The state has ordered 500 talking urinal cakes that will deliver a recorded anti-DWI message to bar and restaurant patrons who make one last pit stop before getting behind the wheel.

The top of the devices feature the state DWI slogan -- "You drink, you drive, you lose."

Some Albuquerque bars installed the devices this week.

And the state Transportation Department plans to distribute them to Santa Fe bars and restaurants as well as establishments in Farmington, Gallup and Las Cruces.

The state spent $21 for each talking urinal cake for the pilot program but will ask bars and restaurants to pay for future orders if the idea catches on.

The cakes have enough battery power to last about three months.

Your best bet would be having your own southern exposure within your own property... 4th floor or lower (I'm told that Dish companies won't install a personal dish above the 4th floor).  Otherwise you'd have to get the other tenants to want a big dish.

JT is obstructed South by high trees on a neighbor's property, otherwise he'd have Direct TV.  Next house will have the proper exposure.

Sadly the rumors a few years ago that the NFL package would be non-exclusive and available on cable were pretty much a pipe dream.

Things to look for in new house
-Large master bath with seperate shower
-Granite countertops
-Good view
-hardwood flooring
-ability to mount DirectTV antenna
-good neighborhood
-garage
-mans room

Question,
Which one above doesn't fit?

Touchdown Tommy

REG: TDT is gonna say the "man's room" for the simple fact that MR most likely nixed that so she could have her wine cellar...

RE: Tubs

Are these antiquated or is this just TDT?  I mean seriously who uses a tub anymore.  Old ladies?  TDT has converted 2 tubs to strictly showers in the past couple of years in a couple remodeling projects and would do it again in a second (only problem is moving a little plumbing and converting from 1.5" drain to 2" drain).

don't forget "level lot" gro lives on the side of a hill its rediculas.

the tub makes the ladies go crazy... gro has used it no more than 3 times and the 1st time was "might as well try it out" (think eddie murphy in trading spaces) and the 2 other times gro was soaking a sore back.

Enginegro: Do you have one of those "Roomba's" that cut your grass for ya while you sit on the couch with a beer watching the big screen?  For some reason, TDT pictures GRO slurping Miller Lites on his front stoop watching the neighbor ladies "garden" on hot muggy summer afternoons in Chattahoochie, TN...

Its part of the nesting thang that woman do.  She has to have a tub.  The second reason is that you need a place to wash the (present/future) little ones.

JT does want a sauna/whirlpool room off the master bath in the next dream house.

How bout a swimming pool which are so very prevalent here in South Florida?  Just the thought of little ones is a bit frightening to TDT as I am sure my old roommate Kilted Rat would attest to.

RE: Dice-K Mania

Well Red Sox Nation he has landed in Ft. Myers and the media crunch is maddening.  TDT has tix to the spring training opener at the Red Sox park on 2-28 against his Twins.  I shall report back after the event...

For a cool $10 million you can name the new RPI football stadium If that's not in your price range, the field can be named after you for just $1 million.

Everything has a price... LLPP might have to pitch in and see if we can't get a toilet or sink with the LLPP name on it.
