You guys who like the random videos from the Web are going to love this. The dad of a middle school wrestler knocks his son's opponent out of the ring, then taunts the man with the video camera.

Help a guy out at his day job and spread this around, willya? :) But seriously, worth your time.

"he won't be allowed to coach wrestling any more"  you think??  Gro thinks his MAternal instinct kicked in at that moment.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Gro finished that proposal last night... it's about 90% fact and 10% bullshizz... or is that 10% fact and 90% bullshizz I always get the 2 confused.

Can't wait for the GM to read it and criticize the parts that HE was supposed to complete or at least contribute some thought to.

Ichabod Crane probably closed 3 days ago (you have to be from the cap district to understand that one).

In JT's experience of the corporate world, bullshizz is always better received than fact.  Truth will get you downsized/position eliminated/department restructured.... yada yada yada.

See doesn't that sound better than fired.  Ah corporate speak.  At this moment 13,000 Chrysler employees are about to be restructured.

most likely....how they get enough days in the year, I have no idea

HAHA  Ox never got a snow day from his school unless the Evil Empire (Shen) closed.....Ichabod Crane will close if it rains too hard....

We had a Wintery Mix storm last night here in DC. People freak out and nobody goes outside.....on my way to work at 730 today, empty unplowed roads in Fairfax VA. Ox put it in 4 wheel and play around a little bit kinda shaking off the car and whatnot. Cop pulls me over...

cop: Son what the hell are you doing driving like that in this weather.

Ox: sir I am used to this kind of weather, im from upstate NY and that is the only way to keep your car moving....

cop: didnt they get 12 feet of snow last week
Ox: yep

cop: ok people dont know how to drive in this down here so please be more careful
Ox: no problem

this is the funny part

Cop gets stuck in the slush/ ice

Ox asks if he needs a push, he said no he can handle it

Ox  takes off with ease...HA

In other important news.....did anyone catch 24 last night?!?
Man that show is getting good.....I was on the edge of my seat for most of the 2hr special.....
I personally think the dad and bauer are going to have it out next week.  I hope bauer plucks off his toenails with tweasers~!~!

I have hated that old fart since the show 6 feet under.

I can't wait till Jack and Dad Bauer have it out...but I gotta assume that'll be in one of the last episodes.  It'll be great.

Side note, I read somewhere speculation that Jack's nephew may be his son.  I think that pretty far fetched, but would be interesting.

Also - Cloe is SO hard to watch....but I think she is better this year than she has been in the past.

PC - Good stuff....almost as good as the Football dad tackling the opponent.

Gro thought about that... gives it a 80% chance.

OX, good story.  It snowed here 2 weeks ago (1-2") and people were clearing out the grocery store like it was a hurricane coming.

So.....Reg is completely iced in.....there are mutliple power lines down, therefor Reg has no power, no running h2o and no TV....BUT HE HAS INTERNET!!!!

RE: RUTH's CHRIS

So monday, MR made reservations for 8pm...(it was the only time they had available)....
she got a call yesterday afternoon telling her, "hi maam, I am calling to confirm your reservation tonight, we will seat you on the patio"...hmmmm

Reg got wind of this "patio" last night at about 7pm...."that place doesnt have a pation.....are you kidding me"...so I get on the phone with them and ask about the ish seat they were planning on giving us.  In laymans terms it was an area (concrete) that had canvas over it and enclosed with clear plastic windows (very popular at bars around here....to house more people in the offseason)....Um...."lady, I don't know what to tell you but there is no way I am sitting on your patio....so find us a seat somewhere inside or else I am sure the GM will.  Call me back in 15 mins.

So she calls back and let's me know that a table was available....

Anywhoo.....we get to the place and are seated in a nice place....

Now here is where it all goes downhill for RC.
Reg has been there numerous times, but it's usually on the company dime...
So Reg opens the menu....WHAM....salad, $8, cheapest steak, $30....side items, $8 each.....
Now let me preface this by saying Reg is not usually tight with the money when he goes out to enjoy a lovely evening, but this was absolutely REDICULAS!!!!
The food was delicious and we didn't have room for dessert.....So the bill

Now we had $17 dollars worth of booze....and cleaned our plates.

How much do you think a meal that 2 people can finish should cost?
Answer- $118+ $17 for drinks= $135 (tip not included)

$118 worth of food....and no freaking dessert!!  I don't know how many NY strips that would buy me (actually I just did the math and it's 20), but I can no longer see spending cash with this establishment.
For this reason and this reason alone, Reg is boycotting RC and recommending people stay as far away as possible from these cats.  Come back into reality RC....you are 1.75x the cost of any other nice steak place.

And to think I almost had to eat my $50 dollar meal on a patio!!...erronious!

'gro

even on the company dime gro feels like he shouldn't be eating a $30 steak.  Gro agrees with the boycott (the seating snafu sealed it).  Shoulda went to quiznos... mmmm toasty and romantic.

That is certainly expensive but there are probably three main differences between Reg's NY Strip and RC's NY Strip.

1)  Reg probably buys Choice graded steaks from the supermarket, RC serves Prime. A notch above quality wise.

2) RC ages their steaks which makes them more tasty and tender.

3) Paying for the RC name

The solution:

1) There are mom and pop steak houses that do 1 & 2 cheaper w/o paying for the RC street cred.

2) Go to a quality meat place and buy aged prime or just buy prime and age it yourself.  You should be able to find instructions on how to dry age beef in your fridge on the web.... probably Food TV.

Note you can even dry age Choice from the supermarket.  JT dry ages when he has room in the fridge and time.

Touchdown Tommy

REGuhater: Weren't you raving about this place the other day????  $17 in booze?  This obviously means that MR had the "house wine" and you didn't have a Double Goose...Does Ruth Chris have other stuff on the menu i.e. seafood, pasta, etc.??  TDT WILL be trying out this place when it rolls in Naples in the next month or so and promises a fully disclosed report soon thereafter.  Lastly, you didn't get all "smoochy" and "lovie dovie" at the table with MR did you???  That would result in a MAN CARD suspension...

Enginegro: Report done.  That means you'll spend the rest of the week on youtube and LLPP...
