Hats off to Union......great game. That was by far the most balanced offense we had seen all year...

Marott and his band of warriors have a legit shot....

Represent the Upstate football programs well....

LL....your day...HUGE day....Congrats all around...

Great Facility.....enjoyed a lot of exchanges with a lot of Union fans...nice group...even before the outcome was laid out....

Keep the team focussed on business and out of the bleachers and you guys will make some serious noise....

What a great day for Liberty League!

I was relieved to get home today and find that Hobart beat Cortland.  What a score!!!  Can someone give me a rundown of the game?  Was it down to the wire?  Did Hobart have a last mintue come from behind?  Did Cortland have a failed comeback?  What happened?

ok, my two cents for what its worth.

Great game today, Union was the better team.  Hell of a game.  Ithacas defense had absoutly no answer today.  I wish it did snow 4 feet, Unions rb or wrs might have slipped or something.

Unions oline deserves more credit than I think Ive heard anyone give them this year.  Those guys held Ithacas passrush to absoutly nothing.  Even when Ithaca sent an extra guy or two, the Union qb had absoulty all day to throw the ball.  Unions oline was the best part of both teams today.  Two of their tds were because the oline gave the qb so much time he was able to throw across the field like a 6th grade two hand touch game.

Unions qb was second.  That guy threw maybe 4 bad passes the whole game and he made amazing decisions.  When IC was about to hit the guy, he made a great throw.  He was calm, smooth and clutch.  also two great throws to #1 in the beginning and to #6 all day.

#6 wr for union was great all day too.  Unions wrs were wide open and they picked the Ithaca D apart.  Fantastic one handed catch by #6 down by the scoreboard late in the game...and another fantastic throw and catch by #1 in for unions first td.

#1 was also amazing.  He didnt even have to run over people as noone even could get a clean shot at him.  Ithacas defense was horrible but unions oline made them that way.  #1 could cut back, and he hit the whole hard.  Not that fast, but he can run.  Hes as good as they come

For the bombers, Ill tell ya what.  Baez was amazing.  He is one of the best runners Ive seen at d3 and he had a hell of a game.  Felliceti was also on his mark today and had a great game.  The bombers oline and wrs were great the whole time and the special teams were great too.  Great offensive show today for the bombers, you couldnt ask for more.

A few points on the game....

Ithaca should have gone for it that time around the 35.  Maybe twice they should have gone for it.

Unions kicker cant kick it past the 10, so he should be squibing it everytime anyway.  Lets not forget that the ncaa only lets these teams suit up 46 or so players, so Im sure all of the special teams were different today.  That should answer the questions about the special teams.

Is it an ncaa rule that if the ball goes out of bounds on a kickoff that the ball is automatically at the 35?

Union fans were great, nice faciltity but I dont think I could stand the whole game on a hill on the ten yard line.  I was lucky to get a seat right in the middle of Union fans.  Funny, the ithaca fans cheered the whole game and the union people around me were gettin so pissed off, and the taunting back was so immature and funny, I cant even discuss it now.   Ill wait untill I have more time.  Funny stories there though.

I also noticed that the Union defense started to taunt the Ithaca fans after the game while the union o was on the field.  Did they know that they were the 2nd worst defense in the country today?

Whats with schenectady and all these oneway streets?  And no left turn onto Union St from the stadium?  I almost crashed into a funeral cutting through that church parking lot only to find my way back to beautiful eastern ave.....

In all seriousness, great game, nice campus and I actually had a good time.  Good luck Union, but I dont think that defense can stop these playoff teams.  Good luck trying.

Dawg, I think I went into the Stewart's next to Hot Dog Mike's and if it's the place I am thinking of, YES, it is a HOLE.  OH MY GOD, I thought some places off Flatbush Ave were bad!

Johny-  You must have been near our side of the field, regarding the angry Union fans.  Didn't seem like they were used to vocal fans from the away teams. A man near his fifties challenged us to a fight after the game!

We tried to stay positive and vocal throughout.  I'll take those guys on the Union D taunting us as a compliment.
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

There were a few members of the Union defense that missed most of the fourth quarter as they yelled at the crowd, and made a number of obsense gestures.  I'm not sure if the Union bench isn't used to opposing fans, but it was the first time I've seen players go out of their way to pick fights with fans. The strangest part was that a number of coaches were watching all of this, and laughing along with it.  The dad of the 12 year old next to me wasn't laughing when one player flicked off the crowd. But alas, to the victor goes the spoils and today was Union's day.  Those defensive players should probably concentrate more on football if they hope to keep Rowan from putting up 60 next week.

This is definitely true.  Might have even caught some people on my cell phone pics.  Maybe they should celebrate with their teammates and their own fans, instead of jeering the opposing fans. :-\

Tecmo, not sure which one of the FDC guys you were, but I thoroughly enjoyed the way you folks got the crowd into the game.  First time I have gotten to see a Bomber game in a while, so it was my first time seeing you folks in action.

ZA believes it was someone from Ithaca that stated Curry might give Del Valley a tougher game than expected and by reading the story on that game, it looks like Curry had its moments and played Del Valley pretty tough except for the third 1/4.

Ithaca's running back was very impressive and for most of the game, their O-line also protected their QB tremendously....

Ithaca deserves a lot of credit for their effort....
