Especially when the people around you were dropping like flies. Hanging around in that environment is usually not a good idea.  JT tried to make a situation like that work once, then his position was eliminated 6 months later.

KS did the same thing at Panasuckit.  One bit of advice about Verizon Pat, Watch your back people there like to leave others hanging out to dry to CY their own A's.  KS speaks from experience.

All mini major to major corporations suck in varying degrees.  Unless one sees themselves as future CEO an exit strategy is highly recommended.

Wow, the LLPP blew up.  Took me quite a long time to catch up on the 10 pages of posts from yesterday.  Looks like Frank U still hasn't come back to defend his ludicrous statement from last week.  He fully deserved to be called to the carpet for that.  While TDT clearly used a poor choice of words (knowing full well it'd get a rise out of the powers that be) he stands by his comments questioning the 4.3 40 being "blazing".

BTW: Nobody cares about the HOF.  Hope that is clear.

Hobart's mascot, Bart, also does not have blazing speed in a foot race - how can you be fast when sporting "a tricorne hat and boots representative of the minutemen, patriots and strong fighters" - but he does haul ass on the ice.

Good news is that this is going to be an entirely new department. Others will be like me, completely new to Verizon.

I just retired from VZ last July.  I started with GTE.  The Verizon environment is not employee friendly.
Some of the statements have a ring of truth.
