U89 and Rt

Just to inform you AJ was 14 for 16 on the weekend pickem bracket.  Though nothing to write home about, seeming that he did it in two second with little to no research he was impressed with himself.

Frank the tank...whats the link to your web cast again.  AJ would love to come to the game at FB field on saturday to throw some verbal tomfollery at the strange cast of characters that loyaly follow Rowan all over the country but he will be in Colorado.  So when I'm rolling out of some CU freshman ladies bed I want to know what site to go to so I can follow the LL action.

Lets set up an all LL final, but always remeber the E'aint is always going to rule....

Thanks for the interest AJ - Go to Unionfootball.com and we have the link every weekend.  However, the direct link is Sportsjuice.com.

ZA never noticed the helmit style JU....ZA likes the leather ones with no face masks....Makes it more of a "blood sport".

To ZA, all the players look small on both teams until one gets down on the field next to them....Some of the Ithaca offensive line guys were pretty darn big...

Now you got ZA going and he's going to pounce through the attic in search of his first football helmit with hardly any cushion inside to guarantee concussions and future memory problems (which comes in handy when the wife asks you to do too many things)....

There's a club for that problem.  It's called "Post Patterns."  I should know.  I'm a member.

The Bus wants to know if RT and his posse will be roadtripping to Salem on Dec. 17 for the SJU versus Union Nat'l Title game.  Bus presumes there would be numerous carbombs in order ala 2003 in Cville and a few "playa hatas" might be in attendance.  Bus is headed on the road this week to Wisconsin-Whitewater for a game of the ages, #2 versus #3 for a trip to Linfield.  Gonna be a doozy!!!!!!!!

Top Ten Excuses, err I mean reasons LL teams beat E8 teams

10.  Who cares about ecac games?

9.   The E8 deserved Home games because they had tougher schedules.

8.  Ithaca had too many injuries this year.

7.  It's time some other upstate teams started to WIN some national championships.

6.  SJF prepared all week for a game in the snow, and then the field was clear.

5.  Alfred would have SMOKED Union or RPI.

4.  It was a down year for the E8 anyway.

3.  Frank Rossi stole Ithacas playbook, drew red arrows all over it and gave it to Audino pointing out where Ithaca's weakspots are.

2.  Frank Bailey himself came down and gave Union a peptalk before the game.

1.  The E8 had more fans, and that usually means your a better team, I don't know why the refs just didn't call the games right then and there.

Redswarm, please do not take the above list seriously...thank you.

The following was a post from Jonny Utah on the NJAC board.  Please prepare the knife to slice off his tongue and gouge out his eyes:

Ill tell ya from the one game I saw.

Union runs an multiple I Pro 75% of the time with shotgun 25% of the time.  They always passed out of the gun.

Unions oline is the best part of their team, they gave the qb #5 great time to throw and gave RB#1 great holes.

#1 is a stud RB, small but quick and tough.  Not super fast but if you dont rap him up he will take it 10 yards or more every time.

#6 wr was the best in the Ithaca game, but I guess the other one had better stats, I didnt really notice him.

Very balanced offense, the qb was amazing and threw maybe 3 bad passes the whole game.

Unions D is a 5-2 with 2 safties.  Very small dbacks, and small linebackers.  They didnt get pushed around and played tough, but their defense is definitly their weakness.

To beat Union, you need the following.

-You need a good pass rush.  If you give thier qb the time he needs he will pick you apart.

-You need to pass the ball.  Unions pass defense was average, and they can be thrown against by a good team.  Play action/bootlegs worked well against them.

-Special Teams.  Union had an average kicker who cant kick it past the 15 yard line on kickoffs.  Id expect him to squib it this week against Rowan.

-Rowans defense has to be ready for everything.  Union can run every play, screens, shotgun, wr screens, toss, counter, trap, bootleg, draw.  Unions rbs pick up the blits very well from the outside, Id try inside blitzes more.

-Rowan has to tackle well.  If they dont tackle well, Unions #1 will break it long.

That's just Johnny being Johnny, a balance opinion from what he saw... nothing Rowan can't find out after watching film.

You act like he gave out the combination to Audino's luggage!! (p.s. it's 1-2-3-4-5)

Rowan coahes meeting skit. by Jonny Utah.

Coach #1- "ok guys, how the hell are we gonna beat these guys?"

Coach #2- "Don't know.  We might be in for a long day."

(Grad Assistant #1 sprints into the coaches office)

Grad Assistant #1- "LOOK WHAT I FOUND!"  Jonny Utah spilled the whole Union gameplan on postpatterns!"

Coach #1- "It's over now."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In all seriousness, I'd love to know that I had an impact on the Rowan-Union game.  I do hope Union wins though.

Careful Gro...I might have to use the same knife on you.  And RT is a bit too weak today to hold me back.

Continued Dialogue:

Grad Assistant #1 - But Coach, these references to #1 and #6...I can't count past 5.

Coach #1 - ****, neither can I.  I guess the grade cutoff isn't low for just the football team.

Frank,
JU's post could work for just about every team still alive in the playoffs.  Garnet does not think JU is giving anything away.
