There's all kinds of negative things to say right now about real estate and sub-prime mortgage crash, players in the CDS markets taking a bath, yada yada.

The bottom line is that real estate will always be a good investment, provided you know what your doing & don't get in over your head... which is obviously easier said than done.

key there tags is knowing what your doing....pbr bets 90% of people couldnt explain how their mortgages work. let alone getting into servicing fee's etc....so when those sharks from places like countrywide mortgages sell them (JUST KIDDING TGP)....it cracks pbr up when people tell him they have an arm and pbr asks them how often it resets and what index its based off of and they look at pbr cross eyed and have no idea....they cant even tell you when a 30yr. fixed rate mortgage is going fall they think it has ALL to do with overnight lending rate from the fed pbr just responds...ummm nice try

There's probably a significant cost associated with broadcasting a game being played in Japan.  :-\

There's nothing they can't handle down in Bristol, CT but I'll settle for some highlights (with foreign announcers) on sportscenter.

Maybe american football just isn't NOW enough for ESPN.

Ya, but they'll gladly carry the PBA "skills challenge" each freakin Saturday.

The cost of sushi and kobe beef spead for the ESPN staff and sportswriters would be astronomical.

These are the same people find discussions about making/investing money or business opportunties boring, but will drop a significant amount of money on the lottery every week.

Touchdown Tommy

Just send TDT's girl Erin Andrews.  She is all we need.

Looks like LD11 was sweating me.  No worries.  TDT didn't look close enough at the Carolina League website.  Saw Wilmington in the 8 team league with Frederick, MD and didn't even give it a 2nd thought.  Keep it up LD.  TDT is coming to play at Shoesapalooza.

RT: The next 3 weeks are an opportunity.  Carpe Diem...

so when those sharks from places like countrywide mortgages sell them (JUST KIDDING TGP)

hey, tgp resembles that remark - except tgp's area is sharking bond and whole loan investors, not joe average home buyer.

Rolevio

Rolevio was looking at buying about a year ago and his realtor kept pushing buying a multi-family and renting out the other half.  Rolevio thought about all the things Reg mentioned plus the though of the rentors just being dicks and either being loud or trashing the place, and the thought of being stuck without being bale to find someone and that idea got nixxed pretty fast.   Rolevio will gladly pay extra to not have that hassle, but in the end the entire buying idea got shelved for at least 2 years.

Knightstalker

KS needs to know WTF is up with men wearing Capri pants?  KS just spent the last hour in Madison Ave park and saw at least 10 to 15 men walking around in capri pants.  KS did detect european accents on a few of them.  Is is a Eurosexual thing?

Capris don't look so bad in the right application....

Touchdown Tommy

Fellas, have your Karma ratings dropped after impromptu visits to the MIAC?  TDT is a love em or hate em kinda guy.  He doesn't beat around the bush.  You know how he feels.  Take it or leave it.

Jonny: You will get plenty of colorful responses to your post.

BTW: Looks like the LLPP has fallen behind the MIAC dramatically in posts once again.  Is it due to the long absence of Holladawg??
