KS will also post his roster later.  KS got his top qb and #2 rb in Peyton Manning and Deuce McAllister.  KS had a brain fart and drafted cedric houston and then remembered he was cut by the jets.

(RPI press release ....8/8)

JIMMY ROBERTSON & JAMES McLAUGHLIN NAMED TO PRE-SEASON ALL-AMERICA TEAMS
QB on Lindy's First Team; DL on D3Football.com Second Team

TROY, N.Y. - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athletes Jimmy
Robertson and James McLaughlin have been named to National Pre-Season
All-America teams by Lindy's Sports Annuals and D3Football.com,
respectively.  Robertson, a quarterback, was chosen to Lindy's First Team
while McLaughlin, a defensive lineman, earned Second Team recognition by
D3Football.com.

A junior from Yonkers, N.Y., Robertson started all ten games for the
Engineers last season, completing 168 of 288 passes for 2,160 yards and 16
touchdowns.  He was intercepted just six times and boasted a passing
efficiency rating of 135.5.  He was second in the Liberty League in
completions, completion percentage (58.3), passing yards, passing yards per
game (216.0) and efficiency, third in attempts, touchdown passes and total
yards and fourth in total offense.

At season's end Robertson was an All-Liberty League Honorable Mention, a
D3Football.com All-East Region Second Team selection, a Liberty League
All-Academic choice and named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District
1 First Team.

In 19 career games, Robertson is the school's all-time leader in completion
percentage in a career (58.9%).  He has completed 361 of 613 passes for
4,473 yards and 42 touchdowns.  The former Iona Prep standout has been
intercepted 14 times for an efficiency rating of 138.22.

McLaughlin, who hails from Foxboro, Mass., played all ten games, including
nine as a starter, last year, his first on the varsity.  He made 40 tackles,
including 23 unassisted, and led the team with nine sacks for a loss of 39
yards.  He also had ten tackles for lost yards (41) and recovered one
fumble.  The Foxboro High School graduate was third in the Liberty League in
sacks (0.9 per game) and seventh in tackles for lost yards (1.00 per game).
Like Robertson, he was an All-Liberty League Honorable Mention selection.

Rensselaer returns 41 letterwinners, including 11 starters, from a team that
finished the 2006 campaign with a 7-3 overall record, including a victory at
nationally-ranked Cortland in the ECAC Northeast Playoff Game.  The
Engineers, who open practice on August 15, have played in the post-season in
six of the past eight seasons.

Why is everyone so concerned with my Ron Dayne selection?  Maybe he'll score a couple TDs early and he'll be trade bait.  hmmm?
