Ok...please read this story. Is RT losing his mind or does it seem odd that one of the players charged in this had a father who played for WV in 1994-95.  A FATHER??!!! Wtf.........only in West Virginia

The father would have been 15 or 16 when the kid was born, not that shocking.  See it all the time in Jersey City.

Two league losses will win the Liberty League this year.  This is gonna be a wild and wooly season.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

see vick came to his senses and took the plea deal...otherwise he was going to jail for awhile....

Reg would go back and reference the post, but the LLPP knows that Reg called this about 2 months ago.

Allright, JU is back in action after a few weeks in Cape Cod, Marthas Vineyard, Nantucket, Foxwoods, Woodstock, CT for a wedding, and Roslindale Square.

But I bet Vick does no more than 2 months in actuall prison and the rest will be a suspended sentence.  I don't know his previous record, but Im pretty sure its only like 2 small charges that were dismissed.

I dont know.  As horrible as dogfighting is, he never hurt any people, drugs werent involved (large federal penealties) and he doesnt have any prior records (again, this point is key)

I mean, law enforcement puts dogfighting at a pretty low priority and now they are gonna give a guy a year in jail for a first offense?  Guys that break into their 5th house dont even get that much time.

Im saying he will get a 2 year probation/suspended sentence where if he even drinks in public, he will continue the 2 years in jail.  But I dont see him doing any time (30-90 days at the most)

Welcome aboard RJ.

Please follow the LLPP Rules and Regulator-ations of posting in the 3rd person on this thread (that goes for you too JU)

TGP believes Frank's comment meant that the LL this year will be very competitive.  In the past it has been dominated usually by 1 or 2 teams that go either 6-0 or 5-1 in league play, and gets the NCAA AQ (lately the 2nd place LL team has received a Pool C bid).

This season, it's prognosticated that the AQ could go to a team that wins in a tie breaker (which the LL has a fairly intricate one) - especially since adding a new team to the league, we have a 7 game league schedule.

Rochester is coming off a strong season, Union and Hobart have lost significant pieces to their teams from last season, RPI has a few key losses, but they also have the most experienced returning QB.  Even SLU has made significant strides (beating RPI last year and going 5-5).

Should be an interesting season.

U89 also thought the posting in 3rd person was dead....as long as we don't go back to that Olde English crap.

TGP, did you make it to Fenway last week?

Dead?  No way jose!

What's dead is the value of TGP's Hobart degree (at least if you believe the crap hole of a mag that is USNWR).  According to them Hobart is 23 places behind Union in the rankings.

Re: Fenway, unfortunately TGP did not.  Being based in SoCal (and working for an embattled mortgage company) has kept TGP locked up on the Left Coast.

TGP did watch all the games and have to say this:

a)  Gagne sucks until he can win back the 3 games he cost the Sox in the last week
b)  Francona using Papelbon with a 4 run lead Saturday was wicked retahded.
c)  How can the Sox have the 3rd best offense in the league yet always seem to fail to in clutch scenarios (see JD Drew watching the 3rd called strike with 2 on with 2 out in the bottom of the 8th yesterday)?
d)  The Central is done (see Los Tigres del Norte just folding vs. the Yanks last weekend).  The race for the AL Champ is between Boston, the Angels and the Yanks.  Even the Mariners and A's are better than any team in the AL Central right now.
