Reno - Gonzales and Dunn are hilarious, they do bicker like 2 old ladies.  Gonzales doing the scarface impression to his coach about bed check was great.  Dunn complaining about being on the 2nd floor (veterans get the 1st floor), priceless.

The show does bring back memories... there was always that kid who fell asleep in meetings.

Well according to Allen's blog, Edwards has a nickname for him "Lumpy" (Leave It To Beaver).  Nicknames are always good in football.  Means he's made a good impression, even if Michael's nickname kinda sucks.

Is RT perverse but should Mike Vick really be THAT much more ashamed of himself than Travis Henry??

"My argument was, if he makes wise investments, other than in gold chains, then he should be able to make the payments"  ....does this mean gold chains are a wise investment??

YOU BET THEY ARE, FOOL!!!

PBR...

no offense Rev but RT is surprised this is the best NY could roll with. Her nose is wacked. RT saw better talent at Saratoga this past Sat for the Travers

No offense taken.  She and the Rev were not tight during high school.  If she spoke to The Rev at all back then it was likely to tell me what a jerk I am.  It was just very surprising to run into someone from high school while hanging around a bunch of dead airplanes, you know?

The Rev thinks we had better looking...even in Norwich.

Agreed. At least you tell it like it is - many people seem to be breaking the hard line on him b/c he is playing the typical "Poor me, but at least I've found Jesus" approach.

Edit: Tags didn't realize Bman had already touched on this prior to posting. It's still worth reiterating.

Has anyone watched 'Hard Knocks' on HBO, about the KC Chiefs preseaon?  Great show but so far they only focus on a few guys on the team.

p.s. Herman Edwards is a crazy mofo, his other hardass coaches compliment him well.

Honestly, Huard over Cutler? Crazy is right.

DP knows where Vick is at.  DP would like to see Jeebus fight a dog too.

This is just too good not to share with my LLPP pals:

For the many RPI alums:

Went to the HVCC scrimmage on Sat.

1. Man it was hot
2. RPI looked like it was their 1st action against another team.. numerous procedure calls etc. to be expected
3. DL is going to be very good and deep - had multiple sacks and TFL
4. QB looked a bit rusty some open overthrows / bad reads
5. Also wasn't helped by some drops by wideouts
6. HVCC had some pretty decent skill players
7. RPI started a Fr at TB
8. McGowan is pretty special
9. No serious injuries
10. 86 in good shape - for now!
11. Overall D = B to B+ ... O = C+ to C
12. First game less than 2 weeks!

thanks for the update stim... good luck to 89 this year.  RPI's roster is updated on the web.  A couple of big Fr OL/DL listed... not bad.

RPI is always better on one side of the ball, when they get both in line it's lights out for the rest of the LL. It would be nice to see a dominating defense this year.

Nice try by the coach, but this is an illegal play.  Can't find the exact rule... but something about attempt to deceive (ala the defense barking out the offense's calls).  Hopefully these weren't HS carded officials.  Either that or there is a rule in the rule book that allows the ref to "improvise" kind of like a spirit and intent kind of thing.

Coaches are always trying new versions of the sleeper play.  He must have told the refs ahead of time.  I would have told him he couldn't run it.  15 yard unsportmanlike on the coach if he tries it.
