SO if RPI wins this week, do you think they will get more than 11 top 25 votes?  I mean, Hobart lost to Dickinson, and then won by a point and got 11 votes too.  Do atleast those 11 votes go to RPI???  Hmm...

Honestly they haven't beaten anyone yet, plus they were apparently not on the Radar in the preseason.  Hobart was on the Radar and therefore has stuck around.

Alfred has beaten Thiel and St. Lawrence and has 57 votes...go figure...they aren't really powerhouses...

They are compared to Endicott and Utica.

I would say that Varitek is less bought than Wakefield...as Varitek was brought to Boston is one of the more one sided trades ever... with if I'm correct Derek Lowe and Jason Veritek coming from Seatle for Heatcliffe Slocumb


but that's not what we are talking about...we are talking about players who came up through the farm system and players who were brought in as free agents or bought...whether they were bought for 5 cents or 50 million dollars it's all the same in that they did not start with that franchise

I even mentioned how they were to be in different categories.  And it is not the same how they were bought.  Ortiz and Varitek were great signs.  But both were then paid by money that only the sox could afford.  Every team in the league had the chance to get okijima and Wakefield.  But the sox got them and paid money that every team in the country could have paid.

And Wakefield is way underpaid compared to Varitek.

I disagree with that. Whatever Veritek makes he earns (from what I hear of course, it's not like I'm in the locker room).

Yea I cant say anything about him and his leadership skills or lockeroom presence.  But hes getting paid 11 million dollars a year.  And he has not been an 11 million dollar catcher this year or last year. 

Wakefield is getting 4 million a year, and basically took a team discount for that money too.  Im gonna say Wake is playing more for his money than Tek is.

Boat resale values are the worst they have ever been...if you can even sell a boat in this market.  New boat sales are terrible and used boat sales are even worse, which significantly drives down price if you want to actually sell.  Reg isn't in too big of a hurry, however gets bored with stuff to easy. (hence the 6 boats in 4 years)

Resale:
As an example, if you paid $125k for a boat in 2003, it would probably be worth $70 if you sold it now.  Is that as good as cars?  Bottom line, boaters are idiots....they get in way too far over there heads and think they are doing themselves justice by upgrading and taking a longer note against the next boat when the dealer gives them a good deal for their boat as a trade...."Hey dood, eventually you being upside down is going to catch up with you!!"  You have a $200k note you have to pay off on a boat you can sell for $130K....do you even have the money to satisfy the note if you need to sell?

Reg is very flexible with what kind of boat we end up with....probably end up with the boat that fits into the "kick the seller in the nuts" deal.

I do not know much about sailboats, except for they are usually the people yelling, pointing, and giving one fingered salutes to most power boaters.  Regs response "get a bigger boat if you don't like my wake"  I doubt they can hear me, but it makes me feel like a real mans man yelling back.

Actually, before you start looking at prices you have to figure out how you are going to use it.  Do you need an engine, is a daysailor (cheapest) adequate for your needs?  What amenities on board do you need, etc.  If Reg were to ever do a blow boat, ...nah Ill stop right there....not going to happen.

Are you prepared to do 7 knots.....everywhere?  Reg hates no wake zones....almost as much as he hates pants.
