doggydodo,
Love the ebonics

This comment is a prime example of why Rowan grads get made fun of for their less than stellar intelect.

UNION 82

Thanks to RPI guys for your support.

Regarding the game, which UNION 82 attended:
First Half- Refs sucked, scared to throw a flag.
Second half, Weather sucked. Of course, both teams played in it. Union D gave up too much, didn't hear the pads popping.

Union, none-the-less had its chances, and didn't come through.

If any of these Rowan guys are actually Rowan guys, they certainly have little class, and less brains, which further solidifies the "Jersey Jerk" stereotype.
You didn't see trash like this after Union beat undefeated Hobart. You also didn't see trash like this when Union beat RPI, and you didn't see it when Union beat E-8 Champion Ithaca.

All you saw was some pre-game trash-hype, a good natured joke or two after the game. In fact, most of the posts were from the opposition fans, stating that they were very surprised about the quality of team Union has.

All of these teams will be solid again next year, and UNION 82 believes that you can add Alfred to the list.

UNION 82 congratulates the Rowan team.

UNION 82 hopes that the injured running back from Rowan, (was it Encarnacion?), gets his leg back in shape. UNION 82 heard it was a compound fracture. No mention was made at the field on the PA system. This is apparently what was said on the radio, which UNION 82 learned later.

UNION 82 also congratulates the Union team on a great year.

thestank,
You should look back and read the posts from your own posters. Well the world still needs short order cooks.

Congratulations to Union for a great season...You struggled through some tough times in the middle of the schedule, but found ways to win and really put together quite a season, especially the last four weeks....4 points away from playing Delaware Valley!!!

Congratulations Hobart for a great season...ZA got to see the Union/Hobart game and Hobart is a solid team and 7 points away from playing another round.

Congrats to RPI who went 8 and 2 and won the ECAC against SJF. The Union/RPI game was an unbelievable display of talent for both teams and as much as a rivalry that it is, it was a hard hitting, but clean game played with class!

If football was like baseball where teams played a best of five series, the above three teams would probably split wins and losses where the fifth game would have to decide who was the best...That's how close these teams were to one another and all in the same league.

To the seniors of all these teams...best of luck to you...and whether you play again at another level or never play again, you know the memories of football will be with you forever!

To the injured RB from Rowan....The LL wishes you a full recovery!

To players coming back next year...."ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL"!!!

To all in the Liberty League,
I'm sure that you had enough of me, so on a final note, your conference had two teams make the playoffs.  So hats off to a great season.  Maybe we will meet again next year.

Congratulations to Hobart for a great game yesterday!  Just wanted to take a moment and comment on how classy the team, fans and parents all presented themselves.  Great football had by all.
Spoke with parents both before and after the game and no hard feelings.  Congrats to both teams for some excellent football and look forward to contests between these two teams in the future.  Hobart, you done yourself proud!
I agree 100%. There were some sharp contrasts in the fan sections and I will reserve comments on what I observed. The DVC staff was very good to work with, and made our job easy. Very professional and did a great job, compared to some other places we have been. They will make great hosts next week when the the Profs come to play.

Hey guys I was just wondering what Arcidiacono and Angeletta of Union chances were of getting on one of the All American Teams

Finals Stats (11-1)
        Arcidiacono -  350 carries/ 1954 yds/ 20 tds
        Angeletta -  99 rec./ 1612 rds/ 11 tds
                - Angeletta's last 4 games (Hobart, RPI, Ithaca, Rowan)
                               - 40 catches/ 608 yds/ 6 tds

Pat Coleman

No promises until I see the final list of nominations but I would expect both will be strong candidates.

JT

JT is back... well at least for this post.  JT and lady are in Hotlanta avoiding the travel rush seeing some sites, buying gifts, drinking, partying.... good times.  Won't be back in dirty jersey till Tuesday.

JT's thoughts are that is was great playoff football played in the weather conditions that one would expect to see.  A couple of breaks and Union mighta taken it.  JT is certainly proud of the Rowan players that have stepped up and/or stepped in to help continue the Profs season.  Some of the things even surprise JT.

JT is sure Union has had their injuries too.  JT expects Union to be in the hunt in 2006, and that maybe the LL might get more notice from the non-Eastern regional voters.

JT hopes the LL posters continue to annoy the other boards for the rest of the season.

Union.....Res says much love for giving the LL a good name this year.  Y'all are warriors.

Same to my Hobart boys.  Next year looks to be a fine one.

See you at the U - Bart mash up in 06.

Res hopes Del Val smokes Rowan next week.

But he'll take a win.  Period.

Thanks, U82, for mentioning our Saxons (8-3 in '04, 9-2 in '05). AU and Union have had some outstanding games in the past. Would have loved to see the two tangle at George Bailey "It's A Wonderful Life" Field in NCAA this year, but was not to be.

AU's '06 schedule will be a good test--return of the Pumpkinheads (NCAA) and the Thiel Tomcats (NCAA) to the schedule. E8 Coach of the Year Dave Murray is a class individual who will continue to bring top notch student-athletes to AU.

And, from its roots in the old ICAC days, Upstate has emerged with two premier D3 football conferences. Cheers to the LL and E8 for its fine representation of New York State on the national D3 football scene, which is much more noteworthy than NY's dismal display in DI. D3....for the love of the game in its purest form.... Throw in a handful of homeless instrumentalists making mediocre music and you've got a good time on an autumn Saturday afternoon in Upstate NY.

U82: Does Union still have the oldtime solo trumpeter who plays the alma mater (or fight song) after each Union score? Stuff like that.....priceless.

On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

Gro,
You weren't impressed with Rowan today. Well consume all of this! Today we played on your feild, in conditions that would side for Union, without our all-american QB, all-american D-lineman and without our starting Tailback for most of the game. If this game were played on a nuetral site with all of our players, the game would be a blowout by the first half.

blah blah blah, Gro catches up on the posts and has to read this crap and the 1000 responses. Attention all rowanites... Gro thinks you have a good team, one of the better teams in the east even with your reserve QB and RB in the game. BUT Gro did not see the mythical beast that is known as the doo doo brown profs. Gro has known this for a while since Gro played against (and lost to) The DJAC's finest in 19naughty9.

Gro didn't see rowan being any bigger, more physical, or better coached... the game was pretty even and in the end Rowan out executed the dirty dutchmen.

Bottom line, what you've all been waiting for... is this: The gap between the top team in the east (in Gro's opinion Rowan) down to the almost made it crew (Alfred, RPI, SJF) and all the playoff teams inbetween (minus the NEFC) is very small.  That's all Gro is trying to say.
