It's cool that you're aware, but not mentioning it meant your post was rather misleading.

ZING!!!

Reminds RT of 1993 when RPI finished 7-2 and was vying for an NCAA bid in a 16 team field against some other 1 and 2 loss teams.

RT apologizes if his facts aren't straight (and Pat will shoot RT down if he's not), the then-AD at RPI, Bob Doucette, was on the NCAA committee and didn't vote in favor of RPI for a slot...or at least that's the skinny RT heard.

That's impossible, RT, since a committee member whose school is on the "board" for discussion is not allowed to vote or participate after a certain point in the discussion about said school.  Sounds like folklore to me.

go reread what I said..he didn't vote for RPI. It was implied that he couldn't vote for his school. We were just bummed as players and thought we were getting screwed somehow but no one really knew how it worked.

Take a break, Tank. Go do some chin-ups or squat thrusts and burn off the vigilante energy with which you wish to apply to nit-picking RT

RT, U89 is honestly not trying to be a dick here, but I understood your comments as Frank did.

Senor RedTackle

dick

anyway, maybe RT could've worded it better. RT really did know that he couldn't vote.

What sucks is having to see that plastic surgery gals grill everytime TGP checks the LLPP.

Man TGP, I am totally tasting your kool-aid.  More myspace 18 year old chicks, less coneheads please.

Beckett throws a no-no tonight...

Speaking of Sox-Rox:

(with apologies to Dr. Suess)

Rox
Sox
Rox on Fox
Sox on Fox
Rox vs. Sox on Fox
Sox vs. Rox on Fox
Sox vs. Rox in Coors Bandbox

Sox have Jocks
Rox have Jocks
Jocks in Field or Batter's Box
Jocks with Money Box of Stocks
Papi strong as Wild Ox

Fox ex-Jocks sit in Press Box
Listen to Tim McCarver's Vox!
The insanity he Talks and Squawks
Joe Buck oughtta clean his Clocks

Rox beat Sox
Sox beat Rox

No one claims the games are Locks
And on some wood a Nation Knocks
But if the Rox Outfox the Sox
Or Gagne Walks or Beckett Balks
It surely would cause Mocks and Shocks
Requiring Whiskey on the Rocks

... and then, as Manny says, there will always be next year ... -- Mark Stebbins, 10.24.07

SRT,
If some way or another the Engineers and Johnnies could play each other in the playoffs I think that would be:
MONKEY BUKKAKE WEEK/YEAR ???

Hey Johnnie, this is a family board.

You kiss the Bennies with that mouth?

:o Do the monks at St. John's know you're talking like that?  :o

(EDIT #2:  Also note there are two members of the MAC Conference on the East Evaluation Committee -- probably explaining the Del. Val. existence at all in this set of rankings.)

Every committee is like that -- perhaps the co-chairs don't vote? See two E8 people on the committee as well.

I'm aware -- I read the entire list.  I was pointing out why Del. Val., which is a suspect #10 at best, was probably included in the list.

be careful there ol' frank...pbr would luv to see dvc meet up w/ union a beat them like a rented mule then take them outback to the woodshed to finish things off...(just kidding...) pbr was not totally surprised by dvc's ranking they have played a very difficult ooc and have been running roughshot over the mac teams lately...but that being said pbr agrees with you the mac is like the ll in the next several weeks it will all be settled on the field.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

He wouldn't have been able to -- when your team is being discussed, you have to get off the call. That was probably true in 1993.
