Dolphins' linebacker, and former Gator, Channing Crowder on playing in London:

"I couldn't find London on a map if they didn't have the names of the countries. I swear to God. I don't know what nothing is. I know Italy looks like a boot. I learned that. I know London Fletcher. We did a football camp together. So I know him. That's the closest thing I know to London. He's black, so I'm sure he's not from London. I'm sure that's a coincidental name."

Wow.

Jose, how is Tim Tebow gonna win the Heisman when Matt Ryan is gonna win it?

Are you talking about next year?

Tebow:
Passing- 123.5 QB Rating 115-for-174 66.1% 1711yards 244.4ypg 17TD 3Int
Running- 125 rushes 578yards 82.6ypg 10Tds

Ryan:
Passing- 94.6 QB Rating 192-for-304 63.2% 2148yards  306.9ypg 17TD 6Int   Running- 20 rushes 38 yards 5.4 ypg 1TD

Tebow has a higher QB rating, is more efficient has thrown three fewer picks and, overall, accounted for 9 more TDs.

It's science.

It's 2 different types of teams though.  Florida is loaded with weapons.  BC has weapons, but Matt Ryan makes that team.  Chris Leak showed last year that anyone can be good with that Florida team.  Food for thought...

Florida may have a ton of weapons but Tebow is accounting for close to 46% (between run and pass attempts) of its offense right now.  Based on CBS' graphics during the UK game Saturday, that is far and above the biggest contribution to an offense in the modern era.  The next closest was Vince Young whose run and pass attempts combined for 29% of UT's offense in its title year.

Also, Tebow's numbers have come against the SEC and two cupcakes while Ryan's numbers have come against the ACC and four cupcakes (Army, UMass, Bowling Green, and ND).

Wow.

And KS was wondering why his beloved Dolphins suck so much this year.  KS thinks Channing Crowder may be dumber than his father, and that is pretty hard to do.

KS just thought of another way to lighten the load on those Yankees tix.  Here's how JT went to the Red Sox, Angels, and Detroit for free in 2007.  Look on the Yankees website as the season nears and during the season.  The Yanks sell those $5 ticket packs for 5 or 7 games at various times during the season.  You'll get mostly average and crappy games, but one or two gems on the seven game pack.  JT bought two seven game packs and one five during the season, each seat was the upper tier box $45 seat except for two that were uppers at $20.  JT sold the Tampa Bay's, KC's, and Seattle's etc on stubhub.  He averaged $23 on the box seats and $11.50 on the uppers.  Profit covered the beer.

Now JT's heard rumors that the Yankees will have more season ticket holders in 2008 than any time in their history due to the end of the old stadium and the beginning of the new one.  So they might not have as many ticket specials next year, but give it a look.

Thanks JT, times have changed from when KS was the stalkerettes age.  KS and KS Dad would drive to Dover or Somerville and catch a train to Newark or Hoboken and then take the path to the city and go to the Stadium and walk up and get good seats everytime.

KS remembers his first trip to the stadium, he went with the Cub Scouts and we met Bobby Murcer and Gene Michaels in monument park before the stadium was renovated.

When the Yankees dropped the DLS to Detriot in 2006, it left JT short of covering the cost of 2007 season tickets without any out-of-pocket expense.  Had the Yankees made into the WS in 2006, JT would have made over 100% on his investment.  JT was only at 45% profit, so he gave them up.  JT is trying to find a way to get season tickets in 2008.

you're kidding, right? RT just assumed you'd launch into an afternoon of SOS, LL tiebreaker scenarios, the world series, and the current fashion trends in Paris.......

Tebow is going to put up more efficient numbers.  But it will come down to who they think the better pro qb will be and which qb does what with their offense......

Tebow's numbers in the loss to LSU....12-26 for 158yards with 1 pick....in the biggest game of the year, the team leader needs to throw the ball better than that to be the Heisman leader.

He also threw for two TDs, ran for 67 yards and another score.

Also the pick was actually a pretty good throw on a slant but Cornelius Ingram was inexplicably looking elsewhere and had the ball hit him in the ear hole, bounce in the air and get picked.

I think a lot of the voters are trying to get away from those types of picks now though...

Ive never seen Tebow live, but Ive seen Ryan live a bunch of times.  I have never in my life seen a live qb (besides brady and other pros Ive seen), throw a 20-30 yard out like Ryan can.  Sometimes watching them live you can really see how good they really are.

These two guys will play themselves out in the end though.  One of them is going to be clearly better than the other by the end I think.

So JU bought a six pack of raspberry UFO's and another six pack of schlitz 16oz cans for tonights BC/VT game and the world series.....

I figured the raspberry ufos would go down like water (they are) and the schlitz would be a good second sixer to make sure I dont pound down 12 too fast and cause too much trouble for me getting up tomorrow morning......
