under shirley's compensation package it lists:
- Driver $40,000
- Guy to talk to when walking the treadmill at 7am when the football team is working out $50,000
- Heated tent for football games in December $120,000

President's box at the new stadium....$150,000

Fellas that is rediculas.  TDT knew that Action Jackson made some nice coin, but c'mon.  Does she roll on 24s in her new MB S550?  Is there a shack on campus for her or does she live on the hill with the wrought iron gates (this is Troy remember)??  Maybe Enginegro can apply for her Official PR spokesman and speak of Shirley's virtues on Post Patterns as a way to return to Colvin Circle in the near future...

Hey stop breaking Shirley's balls.  She showed up at the Union game.  I think I saw her shotgun a beer and punch U89 in the face too.

Maybe that's why U89's head still hurts....

Was she the one that got into a fight on the hill?

KS is going to see Van Halen at the Garden tonight.  It has been a while since KS has attended anything at the Garden, any suggestions for a good reasonably priced place to eat near there and have a few before the concert?

If you're willing to walk up/down about 10 blocks, try Don Giovanni's on 44th St. btw. 8th/9th Ave. (south side of street, closer to 9th Ave.).  VERY reasonably priced italian food, and really a nice menu with quality food served.  You'd be surprised at this little hidden gem.

Everything else in the immediate area tends to be pub fare or fast food -- so walking around that area, if that's what you desire, will result in something to eat.  Pricing -- ehhhhh, you know how it goes here in NYC.

Funny story -- They placed President Ainlay and his wife in the box next to us (and had space for President Jackson to their left, as well).  After the intercepted two-point conversion by Rautenstrauch (#8) in the end zone, he attempted to tightrope the sideline without success.  I thought he was clearly out of bounds, and I said as much on the air.  Mrs. Ainlay shot me such a stare and a negative nod when I said it -- I thought she was going to slap me and have my vehicle towed from the area.  For someone who has been at Union for only 16 months, she's pretty protective of her Dutchmen already.

Hey guys....I have a question for those with an advanced degree.

What kind of GMAT scores could one expect if you put in a decent 2 weeks of studying?  Would you even come close to breaking into the 600's?

I did not break the 600's.  But I also had a kidney stone lodged in my wee wee while i took it.  I think you need a solid month.  Most of the math stuff you know, but it takes a while to remember how to do everything.

These are a few of the places JT hits when doing the Garden.

Soul Fixins'
Southern & Soul, Barbecue

371 W 34th St,   New York 10001
At 9th Ave

Phone: 212-736-1345

JT thinks the food is pretty good and portions are nice.  Its not a big place, and not as good as Silvia's in Harlem, but not many places can measure up to Silvia's

Tir na NOg

5 Penn Plaza, Eighth Avenue between 33rd and 34th streets, 212-630-0249

Irish pub.  Good burgers and other pub fare

Burritoville
352 W. 39th St., Hell's Kitchen (at Ninth Ave.)
Tel: 212-563-9088

Pretty decent Mex and Tex Mex

JT uses chowhound.com to get the lay of the gastromic delights in an area.  Go to chowhound and pop in Madison Square Garden, and Penn Station for reviews from real people.

How much smarter then (than)gr? you do you think Reg is?

Rolevio only has experience with the GRE which apparently seems to be slightly easier on the math but more intensive in comprehension/vocabulary than the GMAT and he doesn't believe studying would of helped that much.  Most all of it was concepts Rolevio uses almost every day.
