In LLPPFFL news the Pbrwarriors have set their sights on a playoff spot to topple the almighty yazz flute

Gro made a commish error when he set up the league, was supposed to have 8 playoff teams but only chose 6 (used to 10 team leagues). Sorry in advance to the unlucky 7th and 8th best teams.


p.s. No one can touch the yazz flute... just give me the damn championship!

really tried to change it in mid season but you can't.  Yazz Flute's motto is "bring'em on".  Other mottos include "that's baby makin' music" and "a little ham and eggs coming at'cha get out your griddles"

Gro is pulling for West Virginia to play in the championship game.  Slaton and White are awesome and have been fun to watch since they made Georgia look silly as freshmen in a bowl game.

BUT... there is a woman in the office who is a WVU "fan" (she's from WV, not that there's anything wrong with that) and it drives gro crazy to hear her swoon over this team since the only players she knows are Slaton/White.

pbr besides being a huge psu fan also roots for wvu now and then since slaton is from close by pbr....and wvu's starting fb schmitt (the guy breaks a face mask per game just about) transfered up to wvu from d-III and its very cool to see a guy transfer up rather than down... gro +k for the eggs/griddle motto...hilarious

With an astounding record of 6-5, Rolevio's alma mater made the Mass. High School playoffs, and will be kicking off in about 90 minutes against Greater Lawrence for the right to play in Gillette Stadium in the Super Bowl.

It's probably a good thing they play half their games against opponents 2 divisions above them.

I went to the Lowell/Haverhill Turkey Day game...It was brutal.  Lowell was 2-8 and Haverhill was 0-10 going into the game....and Haverhill won 28-7 in the mud.  I'm amazed at how bad Lowell has gotten.  They have a new coaching Staff that is horrendous.  They have a huge school and have had some rocky seasons since LD11's departure.

Does anyone else feel if they could coach a HS game, it would be like taking candy from a baby?  I swear I could draw up plays in the mud for a team and have them put up 50+.

Aye, Amesbury.  Listened to the Amesbury-Newburyport game on the radio and the second half was particularly brutal.  Amesbury used to have some good teams until the mid 90's or so.  They've been struggling since.  The CAL taking on Lawrence and splitting into two divisions helped alot as they are the smallest school in the league that plays football in the CAL.
