I've thought about that as well.  Perhaps it's because it gives her a sense of familiarity with the D3 scene.  She's actually improved greatly over when she first did it, and I agree with you they've done a good job and done the division justice.

There's just something sexy about when she says 'Beaver up the middle'.

PG is glad he isn't the only one sick enough to think about that...

I'm also very sick of hearing 'U DUB DUB - U DUB DUB - U DUB DUB!!!'

All I can think of is the Entourage episode with Paulie Shore saiying 'YOU GOT GOT!  YOU GOT GOT!  YOU GOT GOT!!!'

'And Beaver finds a big hole and takes its in for six....'

That's not right.

OOOH I can't stop laughing... Although giggling like a school child may be more appropriate.   ;D

Now I'm picturing her climbing a ladder to get into the press box... :-\

This is for Max, who so adamantly did not want this report discussed. This report is going to squeeze these doods into telling the truth for once --- that's what it will accomplish.

Not that I know anyone on either team, or truly can find Alliance and Whitewater on a map, but I can find their respective states.  I am overjoyed that someone new won the Stagg Bowl.

I tried to find it on ESPN2 here in Japan and was misled by the UK - UAB game announcers who told me that the DIII championship game was on next only to get the Purdue-Louisville feed.  Not to be outdone, I went to the streaming live internet feed and caught the game using this format.

IMHO turnovers, as they often do, proved to be decisive.  Frankly, I was surprised by how well UWW moved the ball against MU and how sluggish the Raiders played on offense until it was desperation time.

It is not a good thing when one comes to feel entitled to certain achievements or outcomes.  I am pleased for the cheeseheads from Wisconsin.

Great. So... now what? Erase all Pettitte's stats? Take the games he pitched and give them as "wins" to the other team?

My point is that it doesn't matter, we will never catch everyone who did steroids, and personally I don't care.

Great Stagg Bowl.

TGP already posted his comments on the DD so TGP will be brief:

UWW D and JB won it for the 'Hawks.

Michelli needs to learn to look downfield and not just tuck and run every play.

Garcon is a B*TCH

and WTF was up with that MUC coach near the end of the game (word is that was Kehres son?).  A program with that many titles should have a staff with much better composure.

Didn't get to check the D3fb.com broadcast but k+ to Counselor Rossi for representing the LLPP.

Garcon doesn't impress JT.  He rarely plays big against a talented secondary.  Rowan locked him down with one guy primarily in 2005.  And he didn't do anything special yesterday.  He can't back up in punk nature.  JT would be surprised if he lasted in an NFL camp.  Phil Silva from Rowan is far better (breifly with Jets and NFL Europe) wide receiver and he didn't make it.

When she said big hole for Beaver etc etc. , JT giggled like an Elementary school kid.

Yeah that coach that flipped out was the DC Vince Kehres.  He was a starting DE against Rowan in 1998.  It wasn't a very classy move, but his beef was UWW pushing the pile on one or more of those TD drives.  Its illegal to push the ballcarrier from behind to help him get into the endzone or further down field.  Like offensive pass interference, it is rarely called.  JT saw Mount push the a few times too.  So it wasn't called against either team.  And I'm not sure the pushing helped when JT saw replays.

In watching the game, it was obvious that since this was the 3rd go around UWW was really ready.  Also they had a lot of gas in the tank.  15 games is a lot and it certainly taxes stamina and depth. Since Mount rarely leaves Alliance before heading to Salem, home games put less stess on MUC.  Part of the reason teams lose to MUC is that they arrive to play them on fumes.

'gro

Gro missed the 2nd half of the stagg... gro will DVR it when it replays this week.  Besides the MUC coach going bananas, what else should gro make sure he doesn't FF through.
