Word is the Reguhater is in the Baltimore area which last TGP checked from his Volvo-meter is only 46 miles (approx 1 hr drive) from that Northern Vir-gina.

TGP recommends the Rev head north to MD to get some Crabby Dicks:

U89 heard a rumor that the reason LD11 and Gro have been MIA is that they caught 'Crabby Dick' from one another......

TGP- Does your Volvo have wings or do people pull out of your way when they see the S80 coming their way?  The only way you are getting from Annapolis to Alexandria in an hour is if you can fly.  For the rest of us, it takes 2+ hours.

Secondly, the only way you are getting true MD crabs is if you ...(fill in this space with a witty comment).
The blue craps served from Oct-June are from Louisiana. (yack!)

reg... from annapolis to alexandria takes 2 hours? thought that would only be around 40-45 miles...now bmore to alexandria would take ~2 hours but maybe pbr is puffin the crack pipe this cold winters morning

B-More to Alex, VA is 46 miles, which in LA could take you anywhere from an hour to 3+ depending on what freeways you have to take and time of day, so TGP can see Reg's point.

TGP's LA Story of the Week:

Now, the Death Row Records co-founder finds himself caught up in an injunction that aims to keep Mob Piru gangsters out of Compton.

"This is crazy," Knight said. "I'm a 42-year-old businessman, not a gang member. I don't even live in Compton anymore."

Mob Piru members have gained notoriety for their alleged links to Knight and Death Row, once home to artists such as Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg.

Knight, who once maintained homes in Beverly Hills, Malibu and Encino, is one of 200 alleged Mob Piru members named in the injunction, which would ban them from congregating, carrying guns, drinking alcohol in public or staying out past 10 p.m.

NOVA to DC is one of the nastiest commutes in the area.  It can take people anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours.

hope no LLPP members are in bank stocks or their insurance stocks yet...going to get painful baby....

Jan. 25  -- Banks worldwide may need to raise as
much as $143 billion of additional reserves to satisfy regulators
if bond insurer rating cuts trigger downgrades for the securities
they guarantee, Barclays Capital analysts said.
Banks will need at least $22 billion if bonds covered by
insurers led by MBIA Inc. and Ambac Financial Group Inc. are cut
one level from AAA, and six times more for downgrades by two
steps to A, Paul Fenner-Leitao wrote in a report published today.
The estimates are based on banks' holdings of the outstanding
$820 billion of structured securities covered by bond insurers,
the report said.
``This is a huge amount, but the assumptions we use are also
very aggressive,'' Fenner-Leitao said in an interview. The
estimate was designed to show how bank capital could be affected
if bond insurers are downgraded significantly, he said.

and the award of the year goes to jerome k. who is now on the run from the law in europe....wiping out 2 years of profits at soc gen  the dood was a computer hack and genius and hacked into their system and figured out how they had their stop loss systems set up and a way around them......

Jan. 24 -- Societe Generale SA said bets on
stock index futures by a rogue trader caused a 4.9 billion-euro
($7.2 billion) trading loss, the largest in banking history.
Jerome Kerviel, 31, was the trader responsible, the Paris-
based bank said today. Societe Generale plans to raise 5.5
billion euros from shareholders after the loss and subprime-
related writedowns depleted capital. The Bank of France, the
country's banking regulator, is investigating the alleged fraud.     His approach was to balance each real trade with a
fictitious one, and his ``intimate and perverse'' knowledge of
the bank's controls allowed him to avoid detection, co-Chief
Executive Officer Philippe Citerne told reporters. He rolled over
his real trades before they reached maturity.
